"Are you attracted to boys?"

"....*15 seconds*....well, you know I may take showers with kids 50 years younger than me.....you know snap their ass with a towel or touch their leg....BUT I MEAN COMEON THAT'S JUST HORSING AROUND!!"

There's a marked different between:

Did you murder those people?
No.

and

Did you murder those people?
"WELLLLLLLLLLLLL, you know....*10 seconds*. You know sometimes I like to horse around and wrap my hands around people's throat until they turn blue. Horseplay, you know? I'm like an overgrown kid here!"

Talk about digging your own grave.

Dude is such a hardcore pedo. Like, it's fucking obvious just in the expressions that he makes when he talks about kids.

Spanier, Curley, Schultz, and Paterno were straight up protecting a pedo, and they fucking know it. This has to part of some larger pedophile ring or something, this is so gross.

And yeah, totally fail defense attorney.

"It wasn't sexual" was his defense.

Right. Good call. Good attorney, brah.

Not only was Penn State not beating any of these teams, this isn't like Joe Paterno was run out for bad reasons.

Fuck, Penn State really makes me disgusted with humanity.

Story from yesterday underscoring the high levels of sub-human excrement this university produces. Glad you're not doing anything to disprove that theme, Xone.

Basically, they're rallying around a guy who couldn't do the simple thing - call the police.

I can FINALLY say I like Sears for his views on this issue.

I respect Joe as a coach for his years of great teaching and his program, but this is extremely dumb. He wasn't fired quick enough.

Wait until you find out that the prosecutor investigating the original case has been missing the last three years and was pronounced dead this year without a body. Went for a drive, his car and laptop were found in some water without a hard drive.
I seriously thought you were trolling me; that was until I got to work tonight and they were talking about it. Being from Brooklyn and what not; is it possible that the mob was involved? This conspiracy theory stuff is fun!

Yes. Very well aware of many details of the situation, many of which the media will not publish as they are too graphic. Hurray for editorial conference calls that make you sick to your stomach. :?

However, the question was why were the kids in the football facility.

You can read the whole Grand Jury Presentment if you want all the gory details, but beware, it gets pretty disgusting. I'll summarize as best as I can here:

Sandusky started The Second Mile way back in 1977. It started as a group foster home that he ran with his wife, but eventually grew into this massive non-profit organization that provides all sorts of services for troubled teens in Pennsylvania.

The first time he got caught was way back 1998 (when he was still coaching), when a mother came to campus, accompanied by campus police, and confronted him. She asked him to never shower with her son, or any of the other boys again, but he refused. Nothing ever became of the complaint, and the police never pursued the matter further, nor did the university or Joe Paterno.

Sandusky resigned his position in 1999 after Paterno told him he would not replace him as head coach. However, he was given "emeritus" status at the university, and allowed to continue his work with young boys at the Penn State facilities even after reports of the 2002 incident, in which Sandusky allegedly raped a 10-year-old boy in the football locker room showers. He had an office, and full access to Penn State facilites up until last week when this all broke.

Basically, Sandusky developed this routine of meeting the boys via The Second Mile, and taking on a personal mentoring relationship with them. He would take them to penn state and philadelphia eagles games, team functions, banquets, pretty much everything. He CONSTANTLY had young boys with him. Staying with him in the team hotel, traveling on road trips, working out at the team facilities. How in the world this did not raise any red flags is beyond me.

Over time, he would test the waters as to how far he could go sexually. When they stayed at his house, he would get into bed with them and wrestle and "crack their backs" by lying on them and bear hugging them "so that they could sleep well". If this was met with little resistance he would step it up a notch, often pushing kissing, and eventually oral sex.

As his relationship with these boys continuend to progress, he developed another habit of bringing them to the penn state campus to "work out", only to tell them that they had to shower together afterwards, where multiple brutal rapes are reported to have occurred.

That's basically all the more I want to type about this, but if you really want all of the disgusting detailes, read the whole Grand Jury Presentment.

How in the world this guy got away with bringing young boys on road trips, staying in the team hotel with them before home games (so he could rape them), and constantly having different young boys around him at all times is fucking beyond me. What a colossal human tragedy at the expense of protecting a football program.

He even had his boys play parts in his instructional video's:

#13 in the video is one of the victims listed in the Grand Jury Presentment.

So fucking sad.

Re: Joe Paterno Fired

I don't think he's a bad guy (I've met him several times), just had some miss-guided priorities and misunderstood the gravity of the situation. His reaction, and the administrations reaction to hearing about BOYS GETTING RAPED IN THE FOOTBALL LOCKER ROOM was to make it "go away" as quietly as they could, or else risk the bad-publicity, and in the end, money.
I couldn't beleive his arrogance in stating that he was going to play out the rest of the season and that the board of regents should not spend any more time discussing it.

He was still putting football above the university, which was exactly what lead to this disgrace. I find it so bizarre that it took this long to come out, and that the assistant was allowed to actually stay around. How did all these people within the department continue to face him every day and how did he continue to face them?

Re: Joe Paterno Fired

So, my dad was a small-college football coach growing up (Western Oregon), and I coached at Oregon State for 3 years, and there is no fucking way I can possibly imagine anything like this ever going down like it did.

When someone comes to you and tells you they saw a retired coach RAPING a 10 YEAR OLD boy in the fucking showers, when you knew he has been accused of sexual abuse just a few years earlier, you don't just simply email the athletic director the next day and move on.

Can't believe it took them as long to fire them as it did, and can't believe people are rioting for him.
