I live in Vegas. I wouldn't mind doing one last lan.

obviously it's too late for the upcoming one. But they host a few events a year.

$35 for all weekend and then there can be a tournament entry fee as well for the prize pool.

downside is that it's in kentucky...hah maybe they have something like this in a better location.

just my 2 cents if you want to do another lan.

byoc is out of the question imo. Vegas or bust

If this happens it wont be until at least next summer. We need to raise a lot of money and stuff to have a chance at this. Probably going to try and do some fundraiser type tournaments and see how it goes after the new year.

Would the price be single occupancy or more? I'd feel weird as hell staying in a room with someone I really didn't know, then end up getting Sandusky'd.

I'de consider hosting this whenever it is that we were ready. If we were going to have it this upcoming summer, we would need to secure a venue by the end of the year. Unfortunately, we aren't even close to that stage just yet.

I'll continue working on this, and if it works out it works out.

Re: DoD LAN (Part 2)

Yeah I'd like to see this happen as well. The only dod lan I managed to get play in was WSVG, which was only because I was living very close to the venue at the time.

I'll contribute what I can, but realistically that might not be much. However, I'd be happy to pack a few of you california nerds into my car and drive you out there. Also depending on what needs to be done to help run the competition, I'd be willing to help. I'm likely so washed up that no one will want me on their team [=

If we move forward with this format, there will be a pre-lan online component. This won't take place until the coming weeks right before the event, once all or most of the teams have registered. This actually serves two purposes. One, it gives an opportunity for teams to play together, and two, the results of the online league can help determine seedings for the lan.

Sears, I've only skimmed through the posts but I think this should be addressed. If it has already then my bad.

I know the response will be something like, thats the team's responsibility to do before the lan, but sometimes teams get formed up until the last minute.

Anyway, I'm so in for this. I will definately throw down some of my own cash to make this work. Im having flashbacks of CPL and damn it makes me wish I could go back and hang more with people I met. It was such a rad time...fuck it was crazy then
