I only use minimap when I'm sharing a route or sound whoring an area. I saw a bunch of people use the whole full screen map bind at CPL, mainly after they died. I never really understood the point because I typically know where all my teammates generally are, especially having a mic and vent.

Also I felt the full screen map got in the way of being able to spec' your teammates while you're dead and making calls on angles or things they can't see.

I had to bind minimap to my stopsound bind to get myself to use it. I guess it's helpful when playing with people you've never played with before.

Any one still have an active download url for the sprites?

stamp, this script kaboom wrote will toggle the map full size and in the center of the screen like the scoreboard, then when you release the button the script will put it back in the corner. just a little difference that makes a big help.

I press L and my map zooms in and zooms out

yea rr2 is a pretty bad map for a minimap, but that script used to be illegal in cal or leagues with anti cheat.

Yay, I figured it out!

Copy and Paste these 3 lines into your "userconfig.cfg" change mouse5 to whatever keybind you wish to use! hold down the key to see your whole map, release the keybind and your minimap will go back to normal size. I altered a script from sp3c.org [=

I dont find it pointless, I loved that bind, I had it when I first started playing competitively, you can see how far your teammates are pushed by looking at the whole map, on maps like rr2 that have horrible minimaps.

put those files in your sprites folder.. i think those are the right files to make the mini map icons smaller

that sp3c bullet guy made a script or bind to pull up the map by holding a button.. but it's really pointless though if you have the small player icons.

it did work for 1.3, I use to have it, but lost it. InSanEz made it I believe. I have been looking for both as well. I'm pretty sure hxc has the minimap sprites because of SS of his I saw. Everytime I ask about the full map bind no one knows anything :/

i think the bind to pull up the big map while holding a button only works in source. to my knowledge it didn't work for 1.3

cypher made minimap sprites that made the icons small. i cant find a link for them though.

I remember there were a few things for the minimap some people posted before...

There were some commands that would make it so the minimap, while on the top right was always at fully zoomed out and the icons on the map were smaller.

Also how would I make a bind that would pull up the large map while holding a button?
