The thing is about redistribution is, just like in real life, people like Stamp or Tony Montana can't be helped. You could "reset the game" to equal and eventually the wheat would seperate itself from the chaff yet again~
Haha, I'm not trying to help out Stamp or TonyMontana. Those two are a lost cause. But, for the working middle-class of 1911 posters, I've thrown them a bone as to not let the top five users shit all over them by having exponentially growing rep power, so I just adjusted how it's calculated, and will continue to do so as things change. For instance, my rep power dropped from like 200 to 90, and will grow much slower than it did before.

As far as rep points go, I changed a couple of things. It now takes 9,000 rep to get full green bars as opposed 5,000 before, this means some people lost green bars, but didn't lose any rep points. It also takes -5000 to get auto-banned.
Sure sure. Still going with the classics? Create the problem and then offer the solution that you wanted all along. Massive rep point inflation, and then after you've accumulated all of the wealth (green bars), let the bubble burst and deflate the rep supply---ensuring your status remains elite.

When the 1911 revolution comes, you repped fat cats will pay for your crimes. Assuming the guillotine can actually slice through all of your chins~

Pigs get fat. Hogs get slaughtered.

Re: Couldn't Resist

We've developed a typical capitalistic distribution of wealth when it comes to rep here on 1911, with about 25 of the 490 total registered users dominating about 90% of the current rep points. People's rep power has become so high that in a matter of minutes someone can get nuked and auto-banned, or fill out their green bars.

Given the exponential growth curve from all of the high-rep users continuing to post more and rep one another, I'll be making some big changes to the formula to iron out the kinks. No one is going to lose and rep or rep power, it just might be represented differently.

There's no crying in DoD and 1911 in 2012, or in basebal

Seriously though, now that people have accumulated quite a bit of rep, I'm remodeling things a bit.

There's no crying in DoD and 1911 in 2012, or in baseball.
