I'm prepared to accept your neg reps now.
Couldn't agree more actually.
What's the point in giving this one person who decided to shoot up a theatre so much media emphasis, when we do have brothers and/or sisters in arms dieing every day. Yet, this guy makes it on the news before they do, what has this world really come to?

you didn't know or care about them while they were alive, i don't see much sense in caring about them in death.
Reminds me of, "His name is Robert Paulson."

I don't think it's necessary to learn about all these victims. My heart goes out for them, but I don't think learning what movies they liked will do anything of utility.

It's more important to learn about why this happens and how to prevent it. In my opinion, stop giving these people (the killers) a voice and fame and it will cut down drastically on the occurrences.

Re: WTF batman?

by unpro » Fri Jul 20, 2012 5:48 pm

honestly i dont care about any of it. i want to know why a guy decided to go batshit insane, so if its feasible something can be done to help prevent this from happening again(not knee jerk legislature banning something). the people that are dead, are just that - dead. we cant help them, and focusing on them does nothing to move past the issue in a way thats decent. let the families and friends do the remembering, the rest of us should work towards keeping this from being repeated.

Yeah it's fucked up. Surprised he didn't kill himself afterwards. That's what everyone seems to do. He should have killed himself before taking the lives of innocents
