I was able to get a duplicate receipt from Best Buy simply by using the date from my bank statement. Email is returned with two photos attached. I did buy a new mouse though, as I believe it wouldn't get here by sunday for our match. I'll just have a back up and just keep on rotating them as I return them. Logitech provides a 3 year hardware warranty on the product I bought, so, if you have problems, take my route.

I'll post again when it gets here, that way people can see the time it takes to complete the whole process.

the recipe should be associated in their booking system with your debit card number, even if not through the serial number they should be able to track back when they got it or when the thing got manufactured.

in my experience there are several ways to get it changed, option one would be to talk to the manufacture nicely if they don't wanna replace it or tell you the change it where you bought it start crying about that they told you you should talk to them and that they wanted to charge you for it and what kind of bad change management that is and that you wont buy anything from them again. Or go to best buy and try to get it changed there if some regular sales wont do it ask for the manager and try explaining it to him with the credit card recipe of course if then you still don't get it changed start talking louder that other customer hear your complaints and about that they wanna change it regularly that helps a lot i got that way things changed which i broke or had no recipe at all and even in a different store then i bought it.

Had the same problem with my mx518, turned out to be a loose connection between the mouse and where the cord connects. You could easily open it and fix it by re-attaching the cord if that's the same problem.

If you talk nicely to them on the phone, they'll replace it as long as you send the old mouse to them. I called them a while back when my scroll wheel stopped working and after explaining that I didn't have the receipt, they agreed to send me a new one upon receiving the old one. Trouble is, I had already smashed it with a hammer (literally), so they wouldn't replace it, and I really couldn't blame them.

In my experience if you call Logitech instead of emailing them they will only ask for ether proof of purchase off of a receipt, or the serial number off the bottom of the mouse, not both. If they do ask for the receipt, try calling again at a later time, you might get lucky and get a more flexible sales rep.

So if you don't have any luck getting a receipt from Best Buy try giving Logitech a call, and be sure to have your mouse's serial number written down or have the mouse there when you call them, or they will get pissy at you.

From my buddy who is a best buy employee,

If you have reweard zone i can. If you're returning a purchase without a receipt that could be done as well. It depends on the siuation. Best we can do is store credit if its opened and been a long time.

. He thinks I want to return something though not just get a proof of purchase. English is not his first language.

I got similar problems with my g400. Sent ut back on warranty in april. Still havent heard anything from logitech. Never had any issues with my mx518.

I've had two asus republic of gamer mice and they work really well for me. They only have 5 buttons, but they seem, to be accurate for me and translate the button clicks quickly.

Well, I always had mx518s, but now they replaced them with the g500s? My 518s always lasted years, but now this is my first since they changed the "name". Not sure what version you're using Grimm, but it sounds the same, just with some fancy whatchamacallits.

I've been using the intellimouse Explorer series since it came out in like 2001 or 2002. I still have the original one I bought when they were first released laying around (and it still works). The one I have now is a newer version that came out a few years ago, but I don't think they sell them anymore. Best mouse hands down.

fucking logitechs have been doing that to me all the time now. 1 g400, and 2 mx518s in the past 2 years that started that shit. i really miss the feel of those mice too, but they dont seem to work more than a month anymore.

Yeah, thats what everyone else said, especially considering that is a logitech mouse. Before jumping into using the ms intellimouse 1.1 i used to use the mx300 and mx500 but all of them had these interruption moments. It starts slowly, happening just once in a while. But then the interruptions become more and more frequent and eventually your mouse wont even turn on again.

My mouse will quit working intermittently every once in a while. It stops responding completely, and you hear the windows sound when a device is either unplugged, or turned off. I had this issue before, but updating windows fixed it. I applied some more updates and now it's doing it again. It doesn't matter what game I'm playing, or simply browsing the Internet. It stops working for about 3-5 seconds, then starts working again. I went to Logitech and downloaded the latest drivers they had for my mouse (MX518/g500). Seems that it doesn't do it quite as often, but it's still a problem. Any input is appreciated, thanks!
