What Mitch said. Even if I wasn't a huge fan of the series, I'm sure I would still find the movies awful.

The original Dawn of the Dead and Night of the Living Dead are still my favourite zombie movies. 28 Days Later is also awesome, and if you want a ridiculous 80s movie with zombies in it, I really insist you watch Return of the Living Dead. For other comedies, everyone hit it on the head with Zombieland and Shaun of the Dead, but if you're looking for a weirder comedy I would also recommend Fido.

I don't know why anyone would like the RE movies. They're campy, but I don't think they're good when you throw them up next to the stories in RE1 & RE2 in the games.

I still don't play those games in the dark.

Check out The Horde. It's a french zombie flick that's pretty entertaining.

You probably liked the new Resident Evil, lol.

dunno if they count as zombie flicks but evil dead one and two are pretty great, guess they could be more 'horror' but they have a lot of zombie elements ... 28 days later still by far my favorite. I am legend could have been great if they used the ending from the book where he turns out to be the 'bad guy'

I just watched Black Sheep on the BBC's website the other day. It was "okay".

No third one, apparently the people who have the rights to the movies aren't talking to each other anymore, drama llama, and aren't making a script for another sequel.

28 Days Later was pretty amazing.

Zombieland and Shawn of the Dead for the funnier slant. I don't know how you could not like Army of Darkness. Bruce Campbell is amazing in it, but that's outside your time frame I guess.

I completely forgot about Shawn of the Dead. I take back what I said.

In my opinion:

Best: dawn of the dead - funny, action, drama, and Ty Burrell.

Funniest: zombieland - need I say more?

Worst: survival of the dead - it was one of the most confusing movies that I have seen. I had no idea what was going on for about a quarter to half of the movie. But still watched the whole thing because I couldn't turn it off.

Anyone have any favorite zombie movies? Preferably made in the past two decades.. I'm having a zombie movie night with someone and need some good ones.
