I can't tell for sure who, but you can take my word that without them mid peeks/recaps are waaaaaaaay more easier. Imagine the axis initial push, where you need to react very quickly and fast peek one of the allies pushing from double doors, without anything to interfere in your field of vision, you would just need to worry where he did go.
Also, harington's mid was just an example, Kevin. There are other maps where the lack of models/sprites can be really determinant. Imagine someone prone ninja'ing behind any given sandbag. If you have removed that specific sandbag, you will be able to see the guy right there, behind the invisible sandbag lol. There are a lot of possibilities that can really determine the outcome of a match. In my opinion, these modifications are on the same level of a wallhack/esp. The only difference is that they can be camouflaged better than playing with a wallhack.
