I forget who it was, but some asshole from the DOD community found my phone number and spammed it on IRC (this is back in like 03-05 timeframe) and one moron decided to prank call my house at like 3 am, so I called back the number on the caller ID and said moron's father answered the phone and I said "Hello sir I just wanted to make you aware that I just received a prank phone call from this number" and he said "oh I'll handle this don't you worry" lol. I didn't receive any more prank phone calls after that.

Back in my day we were smart enough to do *67 lol.

Anyway that number has since been disconnected and I now use Google Voice which lets you set ring schedules (so only numbers you want are allowed to ring after a certain time) and also lets you easily block numbers. I highly recommend using Google Voice. You also get free text messaging.
