Yes.

Andrew got shit on by more than a few people in the community after he passed. Granted I was younger(as we all were perhaps?), it still pisses me off to high hell to think that some people could do that. He was a good friend and fun as hell to play with.

1911 is a non-profit organization, and over the last two years, you guys have been helping to keep the site going by chipping in with your generous donations. We've been stashing away portions of every donation, hoping to use those funds not only to host events and work on cool projects, but also to establish some kind of charitable fund in the memory of members of our community that are no longer with us (Nick Coppola, Jeff Kimbro, etc). As 1911 has grown, so to has our vision of what to do with your donations.

With the announcement of Vegas LAN, I'd also like to ask for your guys help in moving forward with the next phase of our charitable endeavors.

We're in the process of partnering with an international charitable organization in establishing a fund in the memory of all the members of our community that have passed away.

Were building a page on 1911 dedicated to those folks, with a picture and small bio of each person in addition to the various charitable projects that are being funded by the community in their memory. But, I don't want to leave anyone out, so I was hoping you guys could help me to establish a list of all those that made their mark on the DoD community over the last decade who are no longer able to frag n00bs.

So far I know we'd like to include Nick "Oxossi" Coppola, Jeff Kimbro, and Jason "spG" Bednarz. But I know there are more out there that deserve to be memorialized. So if you guys could take a few moments to help me to establish a more complete list, we can move forward with the next step of the project.

This is going to be a really cool addition to 1911, and great part of the fundraising efforts for Vegas LAN.

As always, don't forget to donate if you can, we've got a LONG way to go.
