Quite simple: because despite the average of you guys think, South America isn't only Brazil. There are other countries here such as Argentina, Uruguay, Chile and broadband fiberoptic connection isn't a reality for everyone in this fashion here.
Wildi Ineters guys are argentineans while me and the rest of my team are brazilians which means both teams get laggy in each other local server so we often tend to use a USA server whenever we play or scrim. By doing this we get approximate ms and more than that practice on get used to play with lag. By the way, according to the rules, it is mandotory playing in a USA server so we are just complying with it.
