yeah i know. its kinda stupid to remake a team and them all being random people who never been on it before

I doubt that more than 3% of the present dod community even know who hb-Skwirut is, and he was the guy that started hb back in 2001.

so yeah like other folks are saying - this whole same-tag-different-roster is a pretty old concept.

Skwirut has come back a couple times, I think a lot of people know him. And I'm not saying roster changes are unusual, I'm saying it's unusual to have a team reformed with only one former member. If endofone and gh0d came back and we decided to remake h8 and pick up a few players, people would say "oh, h8's back". If I decided to make a team of 5 random people never associated with the name and then call it h8, people would probably say "what the fuck is this guy doing?"
hey now i was on h8 with gh0d, end0fone an hlah do i get a cookie?

Really? My bad then. I was thinking of this http://web.archive.org/web/200307172141 ... dodo&id=35 as "original" or also a lot of the people who were on RLTW, but I'll admit my dod memory is not that great.

I was actually making the point that it doesn't even matter but I think that got misinterpreted and I didn't mean to offend  . People have been remaking teams for a long time. Sometimes with 1 original member. I've personally been on 3 or 4 different versions of teams with the same name. Dod in 2013 is serious business.

It doesnt really matter, anyone could remake a team. Its not like there is any copy written protection here...

One of the members of the team is an original or was at very least on the team at one point.

Re: dicE[: :]

by akiro » Tue Jul 30, 2013 2:50 pm

first off, every deadbolt incarnation has been STARTED by me. second of all, when i remade it wintehs, todo, moriar, myself were all members of an old incarnation of deadbolt and members of the new one. two of them can't play anymore but i got sick of changing names every season so i left it.

so using deadbolt as an example fails horribly, i started it, and half of the team was original(not really original because that was alphamale/me/kellen/darkhorse/jdub/medias but probably 3rd one, cause 2nd was jdub/stifler/cano/ace/ me/varm/alpha/baba and mow) members. hb is maybe the ONLY one out of that group that you can say something about.
