FLUFFY? i dont know, i gave up with those pubs. its too hard to keep track of all the rules because they vary from server to server. I was upset because yea you know the years i played on dex, but it doesnt matter to the server, or the other admins. only you seem to notice it. any other dex admin is like an online bully.
ill contact you with the info, but i doubt anything will change. I remember the good ol days when dex had great admins.
you were and still are one of them. if there are any others left...

I don't frequently pub, so I may not be banned on your server, and for all I know your pub isn't even responsible for the bans I sometimes receive. So really, I'm not trying to put you on the spot for particular bans, and I apologize if I make it seem like I am. But... in respect to quickswitching, it's habitual for a lot of players because we all got used to doing it to make sure our pistol was on hand (basically, making sure the key would do what it's supposed to do). I quickswitch the entire run out of spawn, just because it does something during the boring jog to a fight, and because I don't want to show up to that fight and find out that my quickswitch key doesn't do anything because I never switched to my pistol and back. It's just something people do automatically, and it gives no advantage. When I'm asked to stop quickswitching and I don't want to get kicked, I have to switch to another class, because I know I'll do it absent-mindedly. So it's silly to ban players for it.

I love the way you refer to "derp derp" as if WE are the idiots here. Most people aren't going to sit and deliberately disobey the rules (if they want to play if any more pubs that is). The question is, why is it a rule to begin with? I'm inclined to believe that the rest of your playerbase still thinks quickswitching gives an advantage. Instead of saying "fuck the competitive DoD community," you could perhaps educate your fellow DeX players on the actual functionality of quickswitching. You're pretty much saying fuck you 100 potential DoD players.
I ask you this, if it has no effect, why do you have to do it at all?

(kirk, if you give me your steam id i will look into matters for you-thats why i came here)

I'm done here, if you want to get ahold of me, i told you how, but I'll leave you with this.

Quickswitching, i thought i made it clear, the rule is basically "do not bypass the reload animation". We have a no-mod (pretty much) server, that tries to be "realistic". You cant reload a gun that way in real life, dont do it on dex. 99% of people know it doesnt affect the speed of it-but its a rule. We've had a lot of tpg players end up on dex and call it one of their homes, and they like dexworld an so they do their best to follow the rules. We have a good community, and that is what we stress. If you come on with voice enable 0, then complain because you never heard the admin, thats fine, but its your fault, especially if you know that some of the admins only deal with people in this manner. We also try to run maps that arent the standard tpg circuit. No offense, ive played in leagues before, but when tpg gamers come on, thats when we have problems. Its like rules dont apply to them (we really have a lot of issues with them). They dont play the game for the fun of the community, they come in, worry about their K:D ratio and dont cap flags half the time, bitch when it doesnt go to dod_harringtonrailroadavalanceflash, are always the ones to completely disregard our rules (which arent tough), and use language which isnt allowed (again, not a ton of disallowed language), dont talk/interact with the regs on the server, and if they get annoyed, they team wound and troll until they leave or are banned. Im not saying this is everyone, really im not. but 60-75% maybe? There are a bunch of league players i enjoy seeing, and if they dont like the map, leave silently. But most dont bring anything to the server, and we are a server that encourages people to get involved with others, in fact that is what we are all about. If you dont want to, thats fine, just play by the rules and its all good.

I totally recognize that we have some admins that dont take shit and are trigger happy. But most of us just try to facilitate fun gameplay. Unfortunately, we have the no quickswitch rule, and the no name change rule, but both have their reasons, again, "im sorry, didnt realize" goes a long way. We have a great community, but it is probably opposite everything a league player wants.
dont try and hide the fact that your admins (not you in particular) abuse the powers given to them by god knows who. clearly you guys are self conscious about it or you wouldnt be inquiring across forums. and i couldnt care less about quickswitching, il just take an auto. my point was and still is that this game is dying because of the last standing servers keep banning people for no reason. or for being wrong. if you even say one word to some of those dex admins youl be finding yourself out on the sidewalk. you make it look like you guys enjoy the action of banning people. [EDIT] you even came to these forums to ban me, someone who doesnt even play on your server anymore.
little ban happy are we?
Laughable, as I said in my earlier post, I came here cuz I heard you were banned maybe, and complaining about it here (if you have a problem with your ban, we have a place to dispute such things, but you never tried as far as i know). You do not need to attack me, its funny the words you have chosen. relax dude. I came here to defend dex, but it seems what ive said has only been twisted and used as ammo to complain more. You also say this as if we at dex havent talked at great length about the dying days of DoD, and got together and said "what can we do to kill day of defeat?" not the case. We strive to have fun and keep the mood light. thats all. we have easy to follow rules that are basically all common sense and respect, whats the issue there? Again, Im sorry if you were banned, or any of you. Im also sorry if you feel ive generalized "league players". Almost all of our issues come from people who just dont care. I mean, this one guy was laughing at how many servers he's been banned from, is that ok? he then said "nigga this" and "gayfag that" and got banned again. Honor and respect dude. honor and respect. shit, I respected you (until i saw this shit, and your post saying i came here just to ban you-like i dont have better shit to do with my time than this??), i respected you and have defended you, and came here to find out why you were banned and see what was up. which is like, you know, the opposite of coming here to ban you. sorry for trying to help. I don't know if you're responding to me but I will reply as if you are...worth responding to so that it's at least brought to your attention, I suppose!

I have no idea why I was banned as I was not given a reason. I could have very well been quick-switching but I received zero warning. I do not keep tabs on the pubs which do and do not allow quick-switching, and while I realize perhaps I should, I also think it ought to be the responsibility of admins to give a warning, and I promise you I received none.

So I cannot tell you what the final reason was, and I have no idea who was on. All I know is within a minute or two I was banned from the pub.

what tpg seems to be accomplishing is keeping a game alive and giving all players an actually fair chance so that the community grows, not dies. people have stopped flocking to this game a long time ago. maybe dex knows this and wants a smaller community. whoooo knows?

thanks for my first standing ban ever on dod. i quit pubbing on admin abusing servers last year and wasnt going to go back anyway.

have fun keeping on banning pubbers from a dead game. way to make it "deader"

Pretty much this, worst part being that the warning extended to us over this silly rule are over in-game voice chat, which anyone with common sense turns off. While it's totally something that people can stop doing, it's also just a habitual thing for most players, so it sucks to get suddenly banned for compulsively doing something that gives you no advantage.

They are a good group of people who mean well. I fear in trying to keep their server "clean", they have probably banned many people for the same reason.
Its kinda of sad considering a still active clan's only mandate should be to helping keeping this game alive. not banning people because of other newer games.

Quite disappointing actually.

Most of the time its just a group of older, grumpier men and admin abusers who just really dont like losing. This is the case for DEX world & evil. Instead of trying to understand that quick switching doesn't actually allow you to shoot faster, they just turn the heads to the ban button.

Moral of this story, if you have get been banned from a server from any other game, just retire on the spot. Stop gaming, throw out all your cd's (uninstall steam), and just leave the community.

While I understand your frustrations from getting banned, HK as a whole is not the issue. One Upper Command Member who, by his every right, to run the clan as he sees fit, doesn't justify calling out the clan. We can all fall victim, no, we are all responsible for the things we have done in the past. Sometimes the price we have to pay for those things is usually further on down the road.
Forgive me if I seem to come across as lecturing, this is not my intent. I will speak to Recon and see if I can get the "ban" lifted. I believe in giving anyone a second chance, I have been successful in getting some players unbanned, it has taken some doing, but, I try.
Understand, HK is a pretty lax DoD server and we are trying to keep the game going. Some of our older players just want to play and visit with the friends they have made playing this game, when someone with skills comes in and is more concerned with KD ratios and won't help with capping flags, it gets noticed. Red flags go up and it can kill the server.
I do believe it is evident in the fact that we come to just play and have fun as the game was intended to be.

Gaming is for fun, Charatcter is for Life.

God Bless you all.

Sof and neogod both scdewed me over, banned for shooting a guy with half his body sticking out and called me a wallhacker. Banned from neogod for I think they said aimbotting because I was wrecking the axis team on donner with a garand

be thankful you dont play on the SOF server you would be banned just for looking the wrong way .... HK west got banned for 24 hrs for being in spec because of RL issues happening .... they are just as bad as NeoGAwd

I got banned from neogod and EVIL in like the same week lol. no clue why other than I was destroying all their terrible players and in the middle of a ridiculous kill spree when I was abruptly banned. was using heavies so they can't use the quick switch excuse (well they could but it would make them look dumber than they already are). they were shitty kmart servers complete with premium lag spikes and and raters anyway (NO! i'm NOT in denial!). i'll stick to merrils caen..woo. it's the only one that's ever full on my server list.

I too am a victim of NeoGAWD. It was total bullshit, but i'll be damned if I go begging them to unban me. I play in all the other pubs with no problems.

Me and marl_fox played on neogod a while ago when the admins decided to remove his weapon for no reason, when I asked them why they were bothering us some female tagged up godess said "you tpg players always act like you run the server".

I explained that we hadn't said a word and used autos so we wouldn't quickswitch by mistake, she gave in. 10 minutes later they all left, even if you don't get banned you get to play bots instead cause league players cheat and nades spawn all day.

"With age comes maturity." I hate that phrase. With age doesn't come maturity or wisdom, just a solidification of all the stupid shit one has refused to unlearn throughout their life.

Yeah...pub servers always find crazy ways to ban me. I was banned from Jiggly's Fun House way back when for "Attempting to steal members and pubbers for my own clan using voice and chat" yet I didn't even own a mic and I wasn't in a clan. I had randomly been recording a demo too on the map they said I was doing that on, and when I proved them wrong they turned it into, "why were you recording?? were you recording yourself cheating???" I never did get unbanned haha. Fuckin eh, you just can't win.

I was banned from Neo for throwing a nade at double doors from middle on harrington. They said I was nading spawn "just like all those other tpg guys"...

I actually managed to get unbanned after I explained that I wasn't given a warning and that double doors is not even close to spawn, I don't know why I bothered though because when I played on the server a couple of days ago I ran into two new friendly admins!

The first guy was shouting over his mic at me saying I have to cap flags to stay on the server so I did, in fact I got quite a few. Map changed to some custom crap and I had no idea where the flags were so I was just running trying to find some to actually cap just so I could continue playing without being hassled, after a few rounds I still hadn't found any or when I got close to one some random bot would kill me before I got it.

Got a flag finally to keep the admin quiet but after killing him a few times he suddenly changed his reason for not wanting me to be there to: "Oh yeah, he's cheating, he knows where everyone is" and his friend who was in spec decided to remove my main weapon, give me some fucked up view so I couldn't play properly and then nuke me before kicking me.

Yep. Pub servers - Killing the community since...forever.

Oh and Twist. Just.Stop.Cheating. :geek:

You would think with age comes maturity, but when it comes to these pub clans, it is the complete opposite. Instead, they turn back into little teenage kids who think they know everything about everything about the game, and no one can top their complete knowledge of such. More derp than aimtek in a vac free server.

lol nah, i have an account, but all i did was read the ban info, i never posted. and if its because what i wrote here, i never bashed em. i bashed the dex and evil admins. not hk

you learn your lesson. pub clans like evil, neogod and dex (some admins not all) usully ban you from their forums if you go and inquire about just about anything...

Re: Dear Hell's Kitchen

by DD-aftershock » Mon Jul 29, 2013 3:27 pm

even though i am a member of the HK clan

if you go and post that you want or your friend wants to be un banned then tell them why

but posting the rant ..... shows that you are not really wanting to get it removed

but try anyway

gotta have an account on forums.

they banned him for a 4 year old source ban from a random non-updated imported banlist from some random ass dead server.

Re: Dear Hell's Kitchen

by Jakimo » Mon Jul 29, 2013 10:29 am

Stop gaming, throw out all your cd's (uninstall steam), and just leave the community.

your HK ban will be on record.

ps: if you go to the HK forums and try to explain to them the error of their ways, and how short sided it is to ban someone from a unknown source from 4 years ago, they will just ban you from the forums.

twist, you got trayvoned.

It's no wonder you can't win a match in open.
Based on previous seasons, I think HK could not give less of a shit whether they won or not.

That link doesn't really work for me but I'm assuming they banned you from their pub or something?
