Things went pretty well, but getting stuck with autopick due to a very poorly timed phone call kinda effed me towards the end.

Keeper league, so a lot of the no-brainers were already spoken for. And as for Greg Olsen, the shitty NFL draft lobbey scrolled right as I clicked, and I drafted him on accident. Oh well, worse things could happen. IDK, I think Wilson will have a stud year with Bradshaw out of the picture, but you are right about ball security issues. Hopefully he will have that figured out by the season start-- defenses have largely figured out Eli and the Cruz/Nicks combo, which means huge upside for breakout runs. This draft was kind of goofy-- I wanted to wait longer for A LOT of positions, but trends in picking kinda ruined that (if I hadn't snapped up Stafford, I would have ended up with Pryor out of OAK). Matthews has screwed me on multiple seasons, as has Colston; upside is still there though. Hopefully Eifert will play a big part in the two TE formation towards the end of the season.

I'm on board with your first three picks. I'm sure those were the best available at the time. AJ Green/Andy Dalton should have their best year together yet (that 3rd season breakout). Cruz will get in the end-zone more than Wayne, but Wayne should get more targets, and since it's a PPR league, Wayne might have been the better option. If Eli picks it up again this year, Cruz should have another 10+ TD season. If Cruz doesn't perform, I think Rueben Randle could be the Giants next breakout receiver (not necessarily the Victor Cruz style breakout from two years ago, but could compete with Cruz's numbers from last year, again depends on Eli and the O-line protecting him). I'm interested to see how Lacy does, but I don't buy into the excitement. He wasn't Trent Richardson in college, and I don't expect him to have a Trent Richardson rookie season, especially in that Packers game plan. Potentially solid backup though. I would stick with your WRs for your flex player. Steve Smith/Greg Jennings/possibly Randle should fill that role well. I felt like Jennings was slightly underrated this season. He did well in Green Bay, granted he had Aaron Rodgers, but there was more competition for targets. He will be Ponder's man in Minnesota when defenses are stacking the box against AP. Martellus should have as big a year as he had last year. Romo is a solid fantasy QB. People give him shit cause he loses games in clutch situations, but as a fantasy owner, who gives a shit about clutch when he's already thrown for 275+ and 2tds?

Overall, you did a fine job here. Rosterbate to your heart's content.

The obvious weak spot here is your RB crew aside from Morris. I like Richardson, I think he's a sleeper and I wanted him on my teams, but I wanted him on the bench. He is going to be the man in St. Louis, at least to start the season, but whether he will be successful or not is too big a risk to be starting in fantasy, IMO. Fred Jackson and Shonn Greene will only be worth a damn if CJ Spiller and Chris Johnson get injured (which I believe is highly likely with Spiller). Between your backup WRs and RBs you will have trouble effectively filling the flex spot on bye weeks, so keep an eye on the waiver wire at the beginning of the season for an undrafted breakout player (there's always a few of them). Your starting WRs are awesome, expect solid production out of all of them. Lance Moore is a gamble every week. One week he'll have 100yds and 2tds, the next he'll have 2 targets. The Chargers passing game has disappointed me the past couple years, I don't expect Vincent Brown to do much more than 500yds 4tds (at best). RYAN BROYLES, though, I like this guy as a sleeper. If the 40TD Stafford from 2 years ago shows up this season, I would expect Broyles to have about 6-8 of those. At TE, Rudolph isn't the worst, but he's going to be realllly inconsistent. Ponder loves him in the redzone, but that's about it.

TL;DR
Manning, Morris, Jones, Green, and Colston will win you a lot of weeks on their own, but keep an eye out for some pickups to give your team some depth.

ya, adrian peterson #3 is a no brainer. don tknow how that happened lol. there had to be someone better than david wilson at that spot.. guys like chris johnson and MJD are almost always there. he does get a little added value with brown out but there was a reason that an undrafted guy who bounced around from team to team (andre brown) was able to steal the very important goal line duties from him. he's just not the big strong RB you want. marshall right there is a good pick and good value. he usually goes in the 2nd. and while i understand rob's concern about coleston, i think he is the only wide out you can trust and start every week for the saints. he is just inconsistent from week to week because there are times he disappears from the game plan. but his end of the season numbers will be pretty solid overall. it's just safer to draft consistency. i'd rather a guy give me 9-11 guaranteed every week from my WR2 spot rather than a guy who is gonna give me 19 and then 4 and then 18 and 6 etc. that is about the right spot for stafford, especially if there is a run of QBs going off the board early in the draft. although as rob said, it would be better if you could grab him in the 6th or 7th..... but it sometimes depends on how the draft shakes out. i hate ryan mathews and i wouldnt draft him if i had 20 bench spots. greg oleson is picked pretty high right here. TE is a spot just like QB where i am going to wait hardcore. actually, in one of my leagues, i picked gates with literally my LAST pick. i got my defense, kicker, and defensive player and then got gates with my dead last pick because i knew he was going to go undrafted so i didnt want to waste something other than my dead last pick on him. greg olson will be just as random and unpredictable as a guy like cook, cameron, or gates who are all available near the very bottom of the draft. there wont be much fall off. yet you can get them 5-7 picks apart. i also hate how you wasted a bench spot to back him up. only TE you should handcuff is gronkowski due to his health concerns, and due to the fact that sudfeld is actually a very talented back up who would step in and produce in that offense. using a 2nd pick on a TE is a waste of a roster spot and you are passing up a RB/WR that would add depth to your roster (which you are lacking greatly) defense is solid but picked too high as you already know but i used to do that for vikings D just so i can root for something purple. steve johnson is good value there. im not in love with him as a player but any player in the draft becomes a great pick if you get them low enough. pierre thomas is near worthless. alex smith is an underrated player on the field, but in fantasy there are probably better back up QBs you could stash (bradford, cutler, dalton to name a few) I am not sure how late you got rodgers but i believe they plan to use him a little to keep jackson fresh. the dude is 30 afterall. he's a starting caliber RB as well if jackson goes down so great pick there. i think i would have grabbed toby gerhart at the end of the draft too because that guy is a stud if he is needed to replace an injured AP

all in all, i think your team is very so so. you have a stud in AP, but your RB depth is for shit and your overall depth in general isn't very good. but if your league has favorable passing stats, stafford wilson and marshal will do very well for you and AP will do his thing ofcourse. your QB/RB/RB/WR/WR are strong but you lack production after that

im also high on ivory. if not for his talent or the 3 first round lineman who are great run blockers, but for the situation he is in. rookie QB starting with holmes still hurt and nobody else to speak of as a WR option. and there are no other RBs on that roster worth a damn.

i do really like the team but i am just bummed out at getting 3 of my targeted guys get picked by the same mother fucker 1 pick before me. 3 times.

and as for wilson, its not like he fell THAT far. we had a run on WRs in the 2nd, which helped, and also in a 10 team draft, you are going to have guys who are going in the mid 3rd of a 12 team draft fall to the early/mid 4th just due to the fact that there are less picks being taken off the board as you go along. mid 2nd round guys in a 12 team draft become bottom 2nd or top 3rd guys.

Wilson's ADP was in the mid-low 30's before the brown injurie, and in the week or so afterwards his ADP went up to around the late 20's. 27.3 to be exact. and i got him with the 29th pick. to be honest, he didn't fall at all.

keep in mind, 10 team drafts are all looking stacked. everyone has a RB2 or a WR2 in their flex unless you are a total moron.

well, it's standard scoring and he sort of loses a little value, bu he did drop pretty hard. but the guys in the 2-7 range as far as running backs are a crap shoot. outside of AP and doug martin (imo), rice/charles/mccoy/richardson/lynch/spiller are a toss up based on your personal preference and opinion. it's hard to argue against any of those guys at #3. so you take that, and factor in a guy who decided to take brees and calvin johnson before i picked in the top 10, and one of those 6 guys i mentioned are going to fall to #10. i would have been happy with any of those 6 at #10. it is just a mathematical certainty that when you throw in 2 non RB picks in the top 10, with 2 of the picks already locked in at #1 (AP) and #2 (doug martin), one of those top tier guys will fall to #10. it just happened to be spiller. i guess they all preferred one of the other guys over spiller. and i honestly rank spiller at the bottom of the "top tier" running backs on that list so even though ti was great value at 10, i would pick any number of those guys ahead of him if i had a pick in the 4-9 range.

I've never really had an elite QB, so seeing Peyton there at the end of the 2nd round just got me all boned up and I jumped on him. It was against everything I've ever done in my mock drafts. But, fuck, YOLO. Also waiting on receivers until the 6th round might have screwed me, but the WRs I did get have the potential, they just aren't in the elite.

Second draft was also with a group of long-time friends. This league has been together for ~10 years now. $20 buy in. 12 teams. (You might notice some similarities to my first team, kind of put all my eggs in one basket here).

Lots of big names, but a lot of room for underperforming. The Foster/Gore/McFadden basket is a sketchy basket to have all your eggs in, but if two of the three can live up to their talent, I'll be satisfied.

Biggest mistake in the first one was sprolies, you need to trade him or try to get a WR or you are fucked. If anything offer mcfadden for a good wr to knock off risk imo

taking tony is my mistake for the second draft if there were more openings

this league has 3 WR and is a .5 ppr, everything else is standard

I had 8th pick

8th - Jammal Charles (IM VERY HAPPY WITH THIS)
17th - AJ Green (Hmmm Kinda uneasy but I had to, I had a hard time picking him or Demaryius Thomas)
32nd - Frank Gore (I'm very happy with this, I have no idea people kept pick others over him, I mean steven ridley? wtf)
41st - Victor Cruz (great for ppr imo but honestly I think I might of picked him a little early I wanted cobb he went 38th, serious question WOULD YOU TAKE WAYNE OR CRUZ?)
56th - seriously I got Eddie fucking lacy at 56th I AM SOOOOO happy with this and kinda shocked no one wanted the rookie
65th - fucking steve smith awesome for 65th
80th - MY BIGGEST PAIN AND SADNESS I wanted stafford and he got picked and I got stuck with Tony Romo and I am a huge giants fan.
89th - my first back up and slight risk but I'm happy with an 89 is greg jennings
104th - I wanted to handcuff Ben tate
113th - Vick as my back up and I'm curious what he can do, I'm happy to have this variant as a back up
128th - Rueben randle, he's nicks handcuff. and hopefully something I can trade with if hicks gets hurt
137th - Martellus Bennett I reallyed like him in blue but I'm sure he will be fine in black

This team right here...I dig it. There's a lot of potential between Richardson and Lacy, and if they're slacking, either Wayne or Austin could put up big points in the flex spot on any given week. Romo gets a lot of hate, but he's a great value fantasy QB. Solid squad.

I had a few RBs lined up, but kept losing out on them by a couple picks. (I had no idea bradshaw was recovering from surgery, or I would have probably looked elsewhere)

The RG3 trade piece could help you find another solid RB a few weeks in, too. As long as they are healthy (and are getting the majority of the workload for their teams), I like both Bradshaw and Mendenhall as situational starts depending on their matchups. Solid squad, brah.
