I played DoD from 2.0 until DoD:Source came out, and have only played it a few times since. I recently got into linux and tested DoD on a computer I was refitting and I realized the gameplay is much better than Source. I founded the ill-named Hitler Youth Battalion on RCL back in the beta days, and we did pretty well. I also was in Battle for Europe for a while. I like to rifle, but it's been so long since I played regularly that I could probably pick up anything just as well. It might be a good idea to start out on open, but I could probably cut it in main just fine.
