It is just as random and meaningless as other televised sports...

I still remember that horrible tackle from Taylor on Eduardo. What the hell did he think with when he tackled (he didn't even say sorry to Eduardo and still today he haven't(unless i have missed anything regarding that))

You clearly haven't play football then also sports isnt about hurting each others and it can even lead to a injure where to totally have to stop playing a sport. Is that fun? lol

Spain should be able to play without any big problems.
i'm not so sure of that. they looked tired against brazil and were utterly dominated

6 months later... USA 0-2 Ghana

pd: wish u can get to quarters at least, i think there's a chance of USA qualifying in the 2nd place instead of Portugal.

I really didn't want to make this post but you're wrong, nico. Spain will top their group where else Holland or Chile will finish second. Australia is pretty awful - they only qualified because they play their qualifiers in the Asian region (which is ez mode).

The reason why the group of death is group D is because all three teams (Uruguay, Italy, England) have the potential to beat each other. Not to mention Costa Rica is a decent side and they will pick up points against the top three teams.
I really think there are two groups of death this WC. B and D. idk why americans think there in a group of death, i think there just marketing it that way so more people will watch it.

Portugal and Germany are light years ahead of ghana whose light years ahead of USA

Hardest group is B then D.

I don't see Spain finishing with 9 points milo, it won't be the same Spain that 4 years ago, now almost every team knows how to play against their possesion play... (like it happened with Barcelona without Messi, who was beaten by Bayern Munich in last Champions). Btw, Costa Rica will probably finish with 0 points, i believe Australia has higher chances of getting points in his group. Anyway, it's just two faced opinions and we won't we able to know who is right until July.

Group A - Brazil, Croatia
Group B - Spain, Netherlands
Group C - Colombia, Greece
Group D - Italy, England
Group E - Ecuador, France
Group F - Messi, Iran
Group G - Germany, Protugal (USA is gonna get sharted on by all 3 teams)
Group H - Korea, Belgium

Final - Brazil vs Argentina (what i want to see)

England's coach, Roy Hodgson, said that he rather preferred his team on a death group than play in Manaus, capital of the Amazon state due to the city weather and distance. Ended up getting both! On a side note, apart of the group stage, Brazil can potentially climb it's way through playoffs against former WC champions.

Round of 8: Spain
Quarter finals: Italy
Semi finals: Germany
Finals: Argentina

LoL

Anyway, I'm going to watch a couple of matches in loco.

Also this made me actually laugh. Your kidding right? USA is behind Ghana in skill in this group. Terrible draw for america they have zero chance of qualification.
I dont disagree with that at all. They aren't highly skilled but skill doesnt win soccer games.

Toughest groups are b, d and whichever one USA is in with Portugal and Germany

France got lucky.

I'm indifferent about englands chances to get out of the group, think its a coin flip with Uruguay and Italy. Only good thing is whoever wins our group has an easy 2nd round match probably vs Greece or cote D'Ivoire

Would be better if they settled this via Super Mario Strikers.

On a side note.

I really hope Scolari picks Ronaldinho in the squad. He might not be as good as he used to be from his 'golden years' in Barcelona 04/05-06/07 but definately deserve to play a world cup in his homeland. I had pay money to see him instead for Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi

Here are my preds

Brazil and Croatia
Spain and the Netherlands
Columbia and Cote d'Ivoire
Uruguay and Italy
Switzerland and Ecuador
Argentina and Bosnia
Germany and Ghana
Belguim and Korea

I think the toughest group is probably group A and G, A for the fact that Croatia plays the type of game that destroys skilled teams and all 3 play a skill game. Mexico only barely qualified out of Concacaf so they will have something to prove and Cameroon is a scary wild card to have in any group. G is obvious, America can probably beat any nation in the world simply because they have the best athletes on their team. They are big and fast up and down their line up. Portugal will rely heavily on Ronaldo as they always do and because of this it will get them in alot of trouble against Ghana and America. Germany as much as I think they will dominate this group has the potential to underestimate a team like America and make the group REALLY interesting. Other than that Group D favours Italy as all 3 teams play an offensive minded game while Italy counters the attack with the best of them. England is at a point where they have an influx of young talent but will play the old dudes ahead of them. Similar to Italy in 2010. Uruguay along with Bosnia have scary forwards attacking and will rely on it to push them into the knockout round. Every where else I cant see to much action happening as some teams that qualified this year such as Honduras Iran Algeria and Costa Rica will probably take a beating. But then again that's why they play the games.

FORZA ITALIA!

dammit, we have like no shot. hopefully we can pull off a miracle win against ghana and portugal can fall apart before ronaldo scores a hat trick and we might make it out of our group.

Although the D group will be really close, the real group of death is obviously the B.

GL, unluckily we'll have to wait a little more time...

Group A - Brazil, Mexico
Group B - Spain, Netherlands
Group C - Cote d'Ivoire, Colombia
Group D - Italy, Uruguay/England
Group E - France, Equador(close group cause france are AWFUL atm even if they have one of the best players in the world in the squad, lol)
Group F - Argentina, Nigeria
Group G - Germany, Portugal
Group H - Belgium, Russia

Group D and E are probably the closet when it comes to how good they are atm.

Belgium, Argentina and Brazil should have a easy groupstage round

Still disappointed that Sweden isn't playing, Zlatan can't do all work by himself :/
The choices the coach have made are terrible... Our defense sucks
