I wish this was the first horrible thing that has happened in Isla Vista, in 2001 some nutball drove his saab into foot traffic killing 4 people and ran outta the car screaming "i am the angel of death" and some shit about government conspiracy plots. Other than that there hasnt been a year that goes by where some drunk dipshit gets tough and goes off and shoots someone.

first of all, i find it creepy enough that he mentions not only counter-strike, but DAY OF DEFEAT.

secondly, that lan center he is talking about is about 25 minutes from me currently, and about 10 minutes from where i grew up and when i was active in competitive counter strike. i actually played a little bit on the LAN team that was SPONSORED by this lan center this kid was playing at (D!E was the name). i used to play there and practice for lans and shit with my team. i played and ate for free at planet cyber.

just thought i would share that. i cant believe out of that super long ass manifesto that i landed on a part of it that hit that close to home for me. i grew up 10 minutes from where this kid lived, and played at the lan center he played at for a few years on and off.

wow this is very sad and disturbing. he sounded extremely depressed and bitter about everyone that he thought aa happy while he never could be. I wonder if no one ever noticed indications of his self called loneliness. desperation is indeed the worst of fears...
