Wouldn't you also need to buy a router of the same capacity?

Kinda like having a gigabit nic without a gigabit port on a gigabit switch?...

I've always hated wireless and refused to use it until I moved into my new place like a month ago. But I found some old Linksys Wireless-G "with speed booster" in my parents basement and I've surprisingly had no complaints as of yet.
