Would also be a great goalie matchup to watch with him and whichever of the two great tendy's St. Louis has. He's their biggest factor during the last games of the season though

I'd still like to see San Jose push though because I think their game will surge in the playoffs with all the experience on that team.
lol san jose. choke first round again, calling it.

The west is becoming very interesting for those last 2-3 playoff spots. Go avs!

ps I prefer grossman and kubina over pronger. good trades in my opinion. too bad about JVR, if only we traded him after his playoff performance like I hoped we would. I think we will trade hartnell after this season just as a speculation.

yeah he does let in a softy usually on the 1st shot but i don't understand how you can't see he has been playing better the last few games, 1-0 loss vs the sharks, and even last game vs the Islanders he gave up one softy, the other 2 goals in that game were defensive breakdowns and he made some really nice saves. i do like grossman's playstyle and kubina blocks a lot of shots. would i prefer them two over pronger? noway, pronger is a game changer & clears the front of the net like nobody else. i don't think we can trade hartnell unless he agrees to waive his NTC. JVR i can see being traded next season especially if he gets off to a good start and performs the way he should.

You mean that sport with $3 Billion in revenues? And if you don't care, why do you specifically come into a thread titled "NHL PLAYOFFS"?

P.s By far the largest reason hockey isn't popular is because poor people can't play it, and you need ice. Mcdonalds is the most popular restaurant, but that doesn't mean it's the best restaurent. Popularity is not a good judge of how "good" a sport/anything is.

Watching an NHL playoff game live is one of the best things in sport. The speed, talent, and physical intensity is amazing.

as a Flyers fan, we will go as far as Bryzgalov takes us, if he gets his head on straight and starts playing like everybody knows he can, they will be dangerous, if not, one and done for the Flyers.

as of late, Bryzgalov has played ALOT better, hopefully he keeps it up.

if the Flyers don't make it, i will be cheering for the Predators. I think the Predators have a really good shot at taking the west. my 2nd favorite team. :)

Rangers vs. Red Wings in the Cup.
The league would wet its pants. 2 O6. 2 of the biggest draws.

I just went to the Joe for the first time since game 1 against the Ducks in 2009. I definately am going to try and go to at least 1 game per playoff round. Regular season games are so lame compared to playoffs...and even playoff games are NOTHING compared to games where the cup is in the building. There's nothing better.

The Red Wings win the Stanley Cup for Lidstrom on his farewell tour. 8-)

NOT COLOLOLOLORADO.
The aves still have a team? I thought they contracted from the shame of retiring #77.

I didn't want to be the one to point out the swap of Conference...but I will.

Not a huge hockey fan but being from Cleveland...seeing Detroit and Pittsburgh duke it out seems rather interesting. Detroit being rivals for baseball and Pittsburgh being rivals for football.

I've been to one NHL game and it was Pittsburgh vs Rangers with the Pens winning 8-3 and Crosby getting a hat trick, was a pretty good time.

Detroit and Vancouver out of the west with Nashville a potential darkhorse. East will be whoever has a hot goalie come playoff time.

I've got my fingers crossed for the bruins to make it all the way this year, they've got a good team, but they've also got tough competition. Penguins have been playing well, and Vancouver has impressed me in the few games of theirs i have seen.

Anyone remember at the start of the season when people thought the kings were gonna do well? loloLOlOl

I like that predicition prostar. i think nashville is gonna go for a run in the playoffs as well.

cant deny the power that is the penguins right now. penguins without crosby, if he comes back for playoffs, my oh my.

i'm predicting pens vs det in finals.

Re: NHL Playoffs

by Prostar047 » Wed Feb 29, 2012 1:22 pm

I'm hoping for a Pens vs Preds cup final.....

The only way i see the pens making all the way to the cup though is if the pens get sid back in the lineup. If the Pens dont go, i can see either the Rangers or the Booooins making a return trip. The West is such a toss up.... obviously the wings and vancouver are the teams to beat, but i smell an upset somewhere. Ive always been a sharks fan, and would love for them to finally break out of their playoff chokefest....but i dont see them breaking the trend this season.
