Let's try doing decent (unbiased) preds this time around:
Invite
G.SKILL > Dumbledores ARMY
For the sake of nostalgia (and why not friendship?) andrew olson reformed DA again with names like Austin, k4b00m, Swiss and Bewton. Apparently the team had roster problems for matches and they've never got the chance of fielding their best 6 hence the 1/6 score. In the other side, GSKILL proved themselves the best in invite by far, beating every team by respectable points margin. We scrimmed against a glimpse of what roster GSKILL can field and I can confidently say that GSKILL will have this.
Final score: GSKILL by 2 caps worths
Players to watch:
GSKILL: hXc, ceebz
DA: k4b00m (especially if he snipes =D) and Austin (if he plays)
mona vegas > no fat chicks
I pretty much remember Rob mentioning something related of his newly formed team in Invite. Well after 8 weeks we have the answer and now we see a very consistent roster that lost only to the previously seed 1 and seed 2 at the beginning of the season. I'd bet my coins in mona vegas upseting someone big in playoffs also. As much as this match will be close, especially with cableguy shows himself for play, I can't mona vegas losing this.
Final score: mona vegas by 1 cap
Players to watch:
mona vegas: beast, shoguNtw
NFC: stile, cableguy (if he plays)
THUNDER < dirty ghetto f**ks
I'm not so sure in this because I think both teams are pretty even. dgf is having one of their best seasons considering the recent past seasons. I expect bullgoose overtake hudson by very small margin in the sniper battle. Watch your back will also terrorize whoever goes underpass. Let's hope if Pat will be able to remove JaGGoN from mid and lead his team in this tough yet possible win.
Final score: dgf by 10~20 points
Players to watch:
THUNDER: toxinatoR, JaGGoN
dgf: Pat, Watch your back
Rivalry Reborn GLHF Attack of the killer koalas!
RR haven't put half of the effort Owned had when we managed to reach invite finals last season. Roster problems and lack of chemistry between the new members were also determinant in the unsuccessful season of the team. While I do believe we can still do good in playoffs I still don't think we can perform as near as good akk! Even without r0dz I just expect to have a close game result, a thing that we have been pursuiting since Week 6.
Final score: GLHF
Players to watch:
RR: SillyHand, StorM
akk: sevEN and the J duo (Jarrod & Jules)
Main
1080p > Jim's Auto Sales
I'm pretty confident that HD will have what it takes to end regular season with 5 wins. I'd also that this match is the division MOTW as it can determine a big seed mischief for playoffs so if I were Jim's I'd better watch out of defiance's team. I expect Charles doing as good as he often does while defiance will try his best to control his route in the map.
Final score: HD by 1 cap worth
Players to watch:
HD: Charles
Jim's: dbo, Pepsi
3xtreme Humiliation > Mino and the Less Fortunate
I've both scrimmed and ringed for 3h in the last few days and from what I saw I'd say that they need to scrim a lil more a get Ricky back from his recent Nascar abduction. Khoi's teams can always be tricky to win but if 3h manage to have their starters heated up for battle the dynamic trio Matt "stealhlol" Edmunds can pretty much defeat any team on Main.
Final score: 3h by 10~30 points
Players to watch:
3h: MoJeRz, JoelEdmunds
MINO: Khoi, Mino
G.L.O.C.K. > cBerry
I've been introduced to cBerry only recently, when I was part of a pug team who tried to break cBerry's MG'ing defense in lennon. The astonishing part is that we couldn't figure whether they were serious or not by doing that. If they MG'd in lennon's first it's far from me seeing them MG'ing in double cap sandbags. You have been warned, GLOCK! All in all another win for GLOCK I suppose.
Final score: GLOCK by 1.5 caps worth
Players to watch:
GLOCK: vertex, theshizz
cBerry: InSaNe, ProstaR
Brave Little Toasters < Most Valuable Playerz
I'll be definitely interesting to see who is going to win the one army rifles battle between jackson and beas. seaN vs Schmiggs is highly spected also. Rosterwise speaking I believe MVPz have a little edge in this match but tbh MVPz must really be prepared to not lose garden/tower or BLT can pretty much overturn the advantage pretty easily
Final score: MVPz by 10~30 points
Players to watch:
BLT: jackson, sean
MVPz: Beas, Schmiggs
TeamLess > Hard to Kill
In before Week 8 results both of these teams are already eliminated from playoffs. And you have to agree that judging by their roster they weren't suppose to perform as bad as they did during the season. TeamLess did good last season and I believe what backed they down was the lack of proper roster to play as they pretty much played their matches with a different roster in each one. As for the argentineans, even having 4 former try2win players, it seems that hey lacked interest in play after their leader got suspended until 2013... Better luck for them in hext season.
Final score: TeamLess by 1 cap
Players to watch:
TeamLess: jkid, TinBad
htk: Super
IM
Retired Chile > aimsports
The only good thing about chileans is that they are chill, don't rate and won't start mm1 you during a scrim if they start losing. They grew up during the last weeks and developed a solid gameplay after scrimming almost 2 maps everyday against good teams. In the other hand, aimsports have 4 members of former mdness - a team who was removed from the league after allowing a suspended player play with them - but in the end Der! and DonPape will be too much for them.
Final score: RCL by 2 caps
Players to watch:
RcL: Der!, sgfk
aimsports: POWA, patton
Chechnyan Sex Bombs > Masacre
Masacre will be a fine opponent for a team that mixes oldschool players with people who never touched DoD before. As much as I notice that Masacre team have evolved during the past seasons the high ping combined with lack of experience in matches will be too much for them to handle. This will be close.
Final score: BOOm by 1 cap worth
Players to watch:
BOOM: john gale, porNy
MsC: IsntmE
Like A Boss! < tA. eSports Organization™
I don't know much about either of teams but judging their recent score results I think I will bet my cents in tA, who seems to be a little more stable.
Final score: tA by 2 caps
Players to watch:
LaB: hyponitik
tA: Meinhart, TrooPeR
Subpar at Best > Reines.Ei
TeamYASO for the win. Reines.Ei is pretty much the same case of MsC, a bunch of cool people who are slowly developing while having fun playing DoD matches. But when one of the teams have not one but two invite caliber players all expectations in a argentinean is nothing but impossible.
Final score: SaB by 3 caps
Players to watch:
SaB: Yaso, Milo
Reines.Ei: DunkelGriff
Kevlar Soul < !!!!!D-DAY!!!!!!
Not much to say about these two teams either. Airnick sandbagged a little for DDay so I guess DDay have little advantage in this, even though KS improved his team quite a bit.
Final score: DDAY by 2 caps
Players to watch:
KS: NewbieMrCoffee (chinese lololol)
DDAY: Shifty
Open
Kevlar's Widowers < Merrill's Marauders
BAMMuNiTY GLHF Hell's Kitchen
FeelTheFury < Bad Ass Wankers
