Campath doesn't work with dod, you have to do a little work around.

You need to import your dod map into a 3d editing program called cinema 4d. From there you create the camera you want, with the appropriate lenght via fps. example: if you're rendering in 120 fps and you want a 3 second camera you'll need to render a cam that is 360 frames. You then use a plug-in to export this cam data from c4d into hlae. Then you can exec it at the appropriate time...I'm at work or I'd get you some tutorials. If noone helps you by the time I get out of work I'll try to get you some resources.

Glad you guys revived the competitive scene. Although the European community turned out some good players, I feel the Australians had a better level of play from a competitive international standpoint (rats were sick). Hopefully a good movie maker will help you out, and I look forward to seeing some more cool stuff out of kangaroo island!

Hey everyone, erazer from Australia here. Over here in Aus, somehow we have managed to revive dod 1.3 for yet another competition (and hopefully more), and I've put my hand up to create one of the FOTW's for it. I know that the U.S has made some quality 1.3 movies recently, so I'm hoping to find my answer here.

Now, through help from others have managed to stumble across HLAE, and have used it properly to record the demos with sound etc etc. However I have struggled a little with the campathing, as after I set up all of the camera points, making sure that Flags is set to 1 for the first camera position after clicking the two buttons(cant remember the names), and continuing to set up the following positions with flags set to 0. I go to press 'goto' on my first campath so I can then hopefully see what it looks like, but the camera does not snap back to the first position, even after typing in spec_mode 3 and spec_autodirector 1. I'm wondering whether anyone here knows what I'm doing wrong?
