How to scirm/ring cs:go and 1.6

So how do you end up ringing for a cs go team or a cs 1.6 team in general? I believe mIRC is totally dead right?

I've been out of the loop for three years, is everything through steam friends? What leagues are out there to play cs:go, etc etc.

And does anyone have dgf's vent?

Euros still use mIRC for counter strike. I think all americans play on ESEA when it comes to cs, and dod scrims are through steam friends.
