My dog is a shit head... Literally

I decided to make a trip out to the family farm today for some relaxation and bbq. I brought the dog along because he loves to hunt the rabbits and bug the horses and cattle.

He went off exploring on his own and came trotting back a little while later... covered in crap.




I have no idea how he managed to get it all over his head and neck... there was even a little on his back around his shoulder blades.

I tried to get him to go swimming in the pond to rinse some of it off, but he wasn't having any of it.




I gave him a thorough bath when we got back to the house, but he still stinks.

For being a very intelligent dog, he is a complete dumbass.

You've never seen a dog roll around in another animals crap? Its quite common actually. Hope he smells better soon.

P.S. Why the hell is that pond so murky? Shallow with tons of livestock messing in it?

I've heard of hunting dogs doing it to mask their scent, but I've brought him out here for days at a time and never had him do this before =[

And yeah, the pond is just a shallow little ditch that ended up flooding a few years ago. There's a large reservoir somewhere on the farm that the animals usually hang out around.
