So you where around my weight, and your max is relatively close to mine.

Nope! Just because I'm skeptical doesn't mean I'll be upset if you end up squatting 300 pounds, bro. I'd be super impressed if you pull through. I just think you're mistaken somewhere regarding form. Squat is the #1 lift that is done incorrectly, from my experience. People don't know what they're doing. They think as long as they drop the weight below parallel and then stand up with it that they did the lift correctly.

Squats and deadlifts are about efficiency: creating a perfectly straight path with the bar throughout the entire movement. The bench is probably the exception since it tends to follow a slightly curved path (which is why smith machine's suck). Once you learn the form you'll have less wasted energy, less risk of injury and be able to lift more weight.
Stamp, if you're really interested in powerlifting and increasing strength buy this man's book:

I did that whole thing with the bench press before where I couldn't lift the weight off myself. I tried to roll it down towards my legs and when I got to the goods I quickly tried to roll it back. Wasn't very funny. Since then I have always benched without clips.
But I will be honest I can't finish videos like that because some of those things scare the shit out of me. Those are the only videos that have ever bothered me; I can watch car crashes and scary movies all day with no problem but weight lifting accidents just give me chills.

I did the same thing when I was in high school. I still have a small scar on my abdomen from where the bar tore my skin rolling it down to my thighs lol Sometimes you just have to learn things the hard way! =D

I think most of them are using a false grip which means the thumbs are under the bar.

Ya I honestly don't understand why people think it is better to leave their thumbs under the bar rather than wrapping them around it. I heard theories which I just can't agree with, at least when you consider the mistakes that can be made... lol
Kids make sure when you bench you wrap your thumby otherwise you won't have no tummy.

Well Alex, I am scared due to the fact that I can't power clean to save my life, and I feel like the center of attention.
I have all A's and 2 B's and I have had good grades since Middle school. I take 3 honors classes. Zing

This isn't about power cleans, bro. This is about squats.
You have a week to squat 300 pounds. If not, neg train.

Tell him it's for educational purposes. Tell him you're helping out a cousin or some shit - all you're doing is recording yourself squat.
Don't need his permission. Just go on a day you aren't practicing and bring a phone/camera to record it. EASY!

Throw your first amendment rights in his face and say that you'll sue if he doesn't let you record a bunch of sweaty tweens lifting weights. If it can fly at penn state it can work at your middle school!
But srsly I want to see a 15 year old squat 300 lbs

The hell kind of fascist regime school do you go to?!
But yeah, make sure we can actually see you while you squat. If you're zoomed in on your ankles, neg train. And do something to prove it's you. Say something or bring a sign or some shit, no care!

If you deliver a video, no harm will be brought upon you. Whether you make the lift or not, delivering the video is what matters.
Failure to deliver a video, however, will result in a neg train with the force of a thousand Greek gods.

The form wasn't that bad. If you pause like that at the bottom with 300 lbs on your back you aren't getting up though lol You are getting low enough but you have to explode up with your hips to move alot of weight. You were probably exaggerating the bottom to see if you were going low enough.
The best way to get a feel for hip drive is to squat down with an empty bar on your back and have someone push down with their fist on your lower back right above your arse as you get to the bottom of the movement. Then focus on driving their fist up as you perform the concentric portion of the movement. Once you get used to what good hip drive feels like you explode up with that hip drive to move bigger weights.
Here's a great video for learning hip drive:

I was really trying to get low, but with heavy weights it is easier to get low. I tried 305 and I dropped so hopefully this 300 will work.
That bar is not meant to be used for anything but bench.

Then do it without a bar. The bar is irrelevant. Watch that video. Not sure if it's displaying but for some reason it's not for me.

Great video to post, Rip's hip drive video. You need to pick your ass up more as you start to raise the weight. It should almost feel like your glutes are leading the rise up.
Stamp your first rep looked better than your second. Your first one was below parallel, your second rep looked just shy of parallel. I can't tell, but it looks like your stance could be wider. In both reps, however, you should focus on what your glutes are doing for hip drive. In Rip's video, pay attention to the part where Rippetoe is pressing down on the guy's lower back, and tells the guy to push up against Rip's force. Picture yourself as low as possible in squat form, and someone is holding you down by pressing down on your lower back - try to oppose that force. That's the start of your motion. It should start with you forcing your ass upward, forcing your hips up.
Need to see your feet in these videos to see where you are placing your weight, too. Lose the shoes, squat flat-footed.
