I still haven't gotten any solid recipes.
Last night I fixed barbecue chicken with a simple garden salad with a dash of olive oil and salt and pepper
I rarely add salt to anything beside hard boiled eggs
I'm also one of those douche bags that carries around a gallon of water in a milk jug to make sure I drink it all

Salt is perfectly fine because our bodies adapt to fluctuating levels of sodium. Of course it will play a role in water retention, but the only people who need worry about sodium intake are those with hypertension. Otherwise it really doesn't matter.
Just drink additional water if your sodium levels increase to try and offset the water retention. Assuming you care.

Won't salt counteract the water intake?

what kind of Whey Protein is the best?
I tried Strawberry banana and banana cream... and lets say that while strawberry banana was decent, banana cream was disgusting! Anyone familiar with all the flavor?

No, it's kind of paradoxical. Drink
more water with higher sodium intakes and you'll have
less water retention.

Best in terms of what? Unless you're getting some shoddy off-brand stuff, there won't be a whole lot of difference from one brand to another.
XF UP 2.0 Lemon Cream is the best tasting protein I have ever had. It legitimately doesn't taste like a protein powder, it actually tastes like a treat. The calorie/macro profile isn't great (it's ~180 calories per serving and 18g protein), but it's worth it to me. Though I can't do dairy shakes anymore, so I guess it's a non-issue.
TruNutrition is also good. Dymatize Elite isn't bad as far as protein powder taste goes, either.

I forgot the exact amount but Id say anything in the gallon to 1.5/2 gallon range will flush out most salts. You can actually get dehydrated this way because your body has no sodium to retain water.
Currently carrying a Gallon jug as well. Trying to stay hydrated in this SoCal heat
My brother takes hemp protein and likes it.
I really liked ON's mocha cappuccino.

Defiance you need to do resistance type training. I'd first recommend pool training. Low impact workouts will benefit you the most allowing you to build and repair your knee in the most efficient way possible. Message me soon and I'll give you some routines to do

I had 2 knees surgeries on my right knee and water training helped so much.
Defiance try dorsiflexion. (I believe that's how you spell it) it really stretches your ankle, calf, and knee out

Start barefoot running.
Run a few steps normally and watch what strikes first - heel or midfoot. I'll bet your heel strikes first.

Your definition of "normal" doesn't exist because there is no "running style vacuum." What is "normal" to you is highly abnormal to other cultures/people and vice versa. Striking on the heel first is normal because that's how we were trained, but that does not mean that is the best form for distance running. The physics of barefoot running is pretty damn clear.
If you are doing short distances and aiming for sub-6 minute miles, then that might be a different story.

I don't drink any dairy protein anymore because my stomach becomes less of a fan with each coming year. If I'm being strict on calorie:protein ratio (~120 calories for ~24g protein), then TruNutrition is the best, followed by Dymatize Elite.
If the calorie:protein ratio is not a big deal, then XF UP 2.0 protein is the greatest protein shake you could ever get. The macro profile isn't as great if you're cutting and need higher protein (~180 calories, 18g protein), but goodness the taste makes up for it.
I've tried most of the popular brands in protein. I've read all sorts of reviews from people raving about how excellent they are and how they don't even taste like powdered protein. I'm here to tell you that those people are lying and almost every protein powder I've ever had is subpar at best, none really come close to "tasting good." I'm amazed that people here like Isopure since that is literally at the bottom of my list.
Until I had XF UP 2.0 Lemon Cream...TruNutrition Cinnamon Bun takes second place.

Eat sufficient calories/macronutrients catered to your goals, favor micronutrient-rich foods, supplement with individual micros if you are missing anything from your diet (e.g., fish oil, vitamin D, etc.). That's all you need in a diet plan. Forget about different types of protein, when you eat, how many times you eat, etc.

Anyone know any exercises or stretches for straightening out your spine/pelvis?
Had slight scoliosis since I was a kid, but never caused any problems so I never did anything about it.
Now in my mid 20s it's causing problems and doctors said there isn't much I can do besides surgery (lolfukthat) apparently braces are only effective when you're still growing.
The problem isn't really with back pain, but more so my legs. My back/pelvis causes one leg to hang lower than the other and it's causing me problems while walking and especially running/jogging.
I've been doing yoga for a couple months and while it's great for core strength and relaxation, it hasn't done much for my legs.
I was thinking inversion therapy may be worth a shot, but I didn't find a lot of info on it for scoliosis treatment.
Any ideas?

You could probably find a suitable freezer for $50 - $100. Just imagine how much your life will improve if you can start eating bacon, chicken, beef, etc. on a more regular basis.

I have done physical therapy, but it didn't do much for me. The therapy is mostly for pain and not actually adjusting curvature.
The best thing I've found is lower back and hamstring stretches but it's a short term fix.
scorch- wrote:doctors said X, let's go to the internet for a 2nd opinion
Pretty much. I'm not going to fuck with spinal fusion surgery.
I've already asked on a few other sites and found that it's a somewhat common issue with a few different treatments. Figured it was worth a shot asking here.

james i would be glad to put together a routine for you to do to strengthen your lower back and legs. To me it seems the main focus we need to work on is your core as a whole....a lot of times compensating for back pain and even upper leg/pelvis pain can be done by strengthing your core and legs at the same time. focusing on your entire lower body from your core down will allow you to balance everything as you recover and increase recovery rate from the pain you've been suffering....core workouts with just your body weight and gradually including extra weight over time(months) we need to focus on getting your body strong enough to handle its self first and then building from there to avoid this the rest of your life. ...We need to get you doing efficient core workouts as well as lower body workouts to get you painless and feeling better. Hit me up on here with your email or phone # and we can discuss this more.
Also you do not need to be doing much running at all right now. If you can do some swimming pool routines....I can recommend and show you examples of some. When repairing injured muscles/areas we need to do the best possible to remove as much wear and tear to allow you to workout as efficiently as you can with as little pain as possible so that we can get you better in a quick manner while avoiding injuring anything else due to pain compensation while you train.
