the only people I talked shit to on this thread were the people who did so first. talk to 99.9% of the players in this community who know me at all and they'll ALL echo the fact that I'm generally an extremely personable guy, I try to help out anyone who asks for it, I don't randomly shit talk people for no reason, I don't troll people, I'm nice to a fault at times. yeah it was awesome meeting you down there in dallas man, my dad actually played dod before ryan and I did. Ryan kinda stuck to CS more so back then so not a lot of people knew him until after that LAN when CEVO started up and I made a team with him and thats when the two of us kinda hit our stride in as far as dod went. do you still talk to my man Craig Honahan?! Harboring a cheater because you knew he was cheating. If you didn't know your brother was cheating, you should be upset with him for lying to you for the entire time he was cheating.

FlatOut has had a negative stigma for being "cheaters." We were banned from IRC(for 3 months) back in the day by KO and some others who were cheating against us in a Harrington scrim and lost. I think they ended up getting cal banned for the scrim too. Back when we won cal-main we kicked Netrolyxen(sp?) off of our cal team mid season because Nugz and I had gone over TONS of his demos in scrims/leagues and believed beyond reasonable doubt that he was cheating. We've had to deal with hackers all the time, but we didn't stoop to that level(hacking back).

I played this game when I was 13 years old, I never cheated.

From what I've read, you're just trying to deflect the criticism towards your brother by saying things like

realistically Ryan has much more important things to be worried about

I have a great job, important things to worry about, I've got stuff "going on" and playing DOD doesn't hold me back. Check out Chris Kluwe, he's doing fine. The first thing you tried to do was spin this off to a "this is better for Ryan."

Both have been very influential members of this community for what... a decade? Close to it. People respect your opinions regarding other players cheating, and for this to happen ... it's a giant let down. I realize this is "just a game." But we can all say the same thing, if it's "just a game." Why was he cheating?

Any reason doesn't justify what he did, he should have reported people hacking rather than cheating to get back at them.

Just voicing my opinion and disappointment in you guys. I don't think I've been too harsh at all. I've accused you of knowing your brother cheating, being an asshole to people outside your circle(see your Leroy post), and contributing to the terrible state of this game(although others have done far worse.)

I don't expect an apology, but I guess the effort you've put forth so far has been more than most. Hopefully people take to heart what you've said and quit cheating... doubt it tho. That's why I only play on Sundays.

as an electrician that number can vary. the general rule is an outlet every 12 feet of usuable wall space. (in canada anyway)

heh, I remember alex from my team telling me about ryan calling him out on the BAW pub because he killed him 8 times, so apparently ryan claimed he toggled on a WH and saw alex tracing through walls. And I remember thinking, wow it's a bit fucked up that ryan has cheats installed that he can toggle on whenever he wants. the ban thread on the BAW forums is pretty fucking funny.

anyway, no excuses for cheating, under any circumstances.

on a related note, how hard would it be to implement something like dodguard (random screenshots), or at least develop some anticheat that can detect the most recent hacks or custom files? I can't imagine the hacks are numerous or being developed regularly these days.

You could probably write one yourself in a month even with no coding experience.

edit: of course, it would probably be easily bypassed by anyone who actually writes hacks.

dodguard messes with the server registry therefore its not quite accepted around here... however an anti cheat tool would certainly suffice.

Well, I hear in Canada they use thy "American" system of measurement for building homes. In school I was always taught the metric system was used everywhere but America. I feel like I was lied to. Do they use inches and feet when building a home in Europe? Fuck Paragraphs! Justin deserves some kind of award for his wonderful post within this thread. Almost Alex Kirk like, almost.

everything is in the metric system, but in practice alot of people use imperial. we in canada because we trade alot with the US have adapted to using both, probably the only country to do so.

Anyways, growing up I feel like there was always a lot of distance between me and my sister. When I was about 17 or 18 I first noticed that my sister was a hottie.

I don't want to go into too many details about it, but basically what happened is that I accidentally found a video that she made of herself. I knew she didn't make it for me- but I thought she was so fucking beautiful that I watched it twice. I probably would have watched it a hell of a lot more, except that like right around the time I found the video, all this crazy shit went down and I had to leave home. (My dad's family who I was staying with got in bad trouble with the law. I never talk about it).

Sooo... I was totally lusting after my sister at that point. She was also having bad trouble with the law. She was actually in custody when I left home.

My friend and I went to go pick her up. When I saw her that day, after seeing the video, I have to be honest, I just wanted to fuck her brains out. Looking back on it now, it's pretty messed up- but I think she had feelings for me too. She actually kissed me right after we came to get her... and it wasn't a sisterly kiss, you know? I mean, it wasn't like ridiculously sexual or anything, but it definitely wasn't sisterly.

After we left, we all went to crash with my Sister's friends. On the trip there, my friend sort of implied that he wanted to get with my Sister, and I got a little jealous. He's a good looking guy- and even though she was my sister- I just felt like he was competition. Not much else happened between us for a while except some maybe-sexy hugging.

Pretty much everyone in my life at that point was wanted by the government, so we all moved around a lot. I'm not saying that I'm proud of it or anything, but it was kind of an awesome time.

My friend and my sister never hooked up I don't think- but I thought there was some serious sexual tension going on between them. It was around that time that I got really badly hurt in an accident. It was fucked up. I almost died. But when I was in recovery my sister came to see me, and out of the clear blue sky she started gives me this awesome, slow, passionate kiss on the lips.

Sadly (although, I guess for the best) nothing ever came of it. We spent some time apart... and I started to get really religious, so I tried not to think of her that way. It was actually going well for a long time- like I was totally over her. But I have to say, like a year or so after all that stuff went down, we were out sailing (not like a date or anything romantic like that), and she was wearing like the hottest bikini I've ever fucking seen and it brought back all the old feelings. Sigh. A little while later she actually wound up with my friend from before (the sexual tension guy).

I can't say I was surprised. But even after she was shacking up with my friend, there was one time we were at a party... my friend was inside, and my sister and I were outside alone. It was a really intimate moment. I think something might have happened, except that I killed the mood when I told her that Darth Vader was our father and that I had to go face him.
