edit - im speaking for bausch, mino, apple, cigar, and coolwhip. correct me, fellows if I am Mistaken. I had one lag spike and it was when two mp44s were shooting and two BARs were shooting and two grenades went off all at once. besides that felt like I was in a match.

- windows 8, laptop, wireless internet, roommates watching netflix at the same time.

besides that, the match was horrible from my point of view. cleandod sucked major donkey dicks. i know i said some nice things about it but i take it all back.

lag spikes every 2 seconds, for up to 3 seconds at a time. multiple times i thought the server crashed or i dropped.
every time i quick switched i lag spiked each and every time.
every time an enemy became visible in my scope i lagged, once again for about a second.
i lag spiked so often that it felt like 40 fps, i couldnt even turn my mouse without lagging.
after raging some i switched to light, was easier with the constant lag spikes, but was just as intolerable.
take a watch and count to 3. enough time to fucking fap. imagine that every 2 seconds.

windows 7, i play on a laptop and i know about most of my problems. i didnt have this problem on night cup night, so ide like some help with this, if not, im not playing this season. that was intolerable. no point whatsoever of even trying.

borderlands 2, here i come.
Haha yeah, I had the exact same problem and had to switch off sniper too. :<

Hopefully this is just a preseason thing.

I didn't have any problems but 3 teammates did. Seems to be making a lot of people frustrated, and means people on a mac can't play. Vote no.

I love how you guys claim it lags you during normal play time, but all you have to do is use a process monitoring program to realize that it barely even utilizes shit. Time to upgrade from the AMD K6-2 processors from 2003.

I used to play DoD with a K6-2 and a Voodoo3 16mb and got 40-50fps. Let's go, let's keep lying.

Norton removed the installer as a threat, so I didn't use it. Not sure how one might offer to fix that, aside from asking me to ignore my antivirus stuff, which I won't do.

Edit: Didn't mean to air the issue in public, because I'm a big fan of you TPG people, but I'm lazy, and this way was easy. It controls me.

Messed around with this, not a single lag spike/fps drop/freeze up.

Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) II Dual-Core M320 (2 CPUs), ~2.1GHz
Memory: 4096MB RAM
Available OS Memory: 3838MB RAM
Page File: 1903MB used, 5771MB available

No idea what is causing the problems for others.

Only one person had problem with it on my team. It's a okay ac but seems like it's causing more trouble than helping.

Worked like a charm for me.

But one player in my team had some major problems. The game crashed for him every now and then. Guess he had to restart dod around 6-7 times during 40 min.

I hadn't had a problem with cleandod until yesterday night before our game, starting the report somehow crashed dod twice as it was loading up BUT a restart solved it and it worked perfectly again after. I am pretty sure that was something conflicting on my end though and not cleandod, pretty happy with how it all works tbh and nobody else on my team mentioned having any problems.

Same thing happened to me. I created an exception to allow the program to run, but I do feel a bit uncomfortable about using it.

ran fine the first time i used it in a pub. using cleandod last night proved otherwise. game did feel just a tad sluggish and 3 separate times i had flushentitypacket errors which completely froze my game for 1-3mins. I havent had that error since 4 years ago when i played on wireless. I was 3 hours away from the game server location, no choke no loss and I changed my rates around to see if that helped....and no it didnt.

not trying to bitch, i understand the point of cleandod just not sure about it.

Lol, why would people be lying about having issues with this program? Also, when you played on that setup, were you running CleanDoD? Because that's kind of what we're talking about here.

But we're probably all just scheming because we hate the idea of having an AC client. The cheaters are everywhere and they're out to get you, and no one has CleanDoD issues.

dont get me wrong, i love the idea of an AC client, we were even planning on starting onclient 12 mans only in a locked channel.
after the sunday match however, im rethinking the idea. at least until i get this problem solved. lagging like that reminded me of the warcraft 2 BNET edition days where i was always the last to load and then lag out.

LOL

had no issues on my end and it was my first time ever using it. game felt exactly the same to me. had questionable hit reg at times but i always complain of hit reg when i need to complain/rage lol and i'm sure our new server we just got set up could use some finetuning here or there but overall the match played out fine for everyone on both teams (as far as i'm aware) other than what jakimo and dan johnson had to deal with. joey had a minor hiccup with dod crashing and after restarting his PC it then worked fine. i'm running an i7 2600k, 16gb ram, solid state, nvidia gtx 670 with windows 8.

p.s. i vote for some kind of AC client should it not "rustle the jimmies" of so many people lol. sure, all the idiots get caught without an AC but honestly not everyone is that dumb lol. anyone with half a brain can use them discreetly/minimally enough throughout matches when they need them without ever making it look like they used anything (toggle walls off for a quick peek before turning them back on as to not accidentally find oneself tracing/looking where they shouldn't be while giving him/herself a pretty accurate idea of where players are coming from without being obvious in the slightest). i like having the peace of mind that everyone is competing fairly and no one is trying to pass off bullshit as legitimate skill in their quest to become the best player at an old game. that alone makes the game more fun for me as opposed to having to wonder about the legitimacy of things that happen throughout a match just because of the simple fact of how accessible the cheats seem to be.

My lack of computer knowledge has had vicious consequences here. I still don't like that some people seem to think that the problems that some individuals are having are fabricated.

So if one's cleandod doesn't work/ properly work, will that player be not allowed to play in the leagues?

I didn't pay attention during installation but it seemed to run off net? Wine and mono run time won't get it running on Linux? Seems like it would...what's the issue?

mike if you're having an issues with it, submit a ticket right away. our admin team is doing a good job of staying on top of all the issues coming up and solving them asap.

LMAO....Norton is THE worst antivirus program EVER! Your computer will thank you if you burn Norton from it's hard drive.
Microsoft Security-Essentials and MalwareBytes Free edition are the only anti-crapware programs you could ever need. Both Free.

So what's the reasoning behind dropping CleanDoD now? There's been no mention as to the WHY.
I remember a time when 90% of pup servers, and I'm pretty damn sure, even TPG, REQUIRED PunkBuster Anti-Cheat.
And since Valve kicked them out of the AC game, I think something else should definitely replace it.

I think when the people who make and run the program up and discontinue it, that's a pretty good "why."

Per the developer (owner), he got a couple of offers to buy his program and all rights to it so he is selling it.
