If you've actually played poker, it's pretty boring to watch bad players try to out-bad each other for millions of dollars.

True story, which was made into a book, about Andy Beal (my old boss who is a banker), challenging what was called "The Corporation" = Ted Forrest, Jennifer Harman, Minh Ly, Doyle Brunson, Todd Brunson, Howard Lederer, David Grey, Chip Reese, Gus Hansen, Phil Ivey, Barry Greenstein, Lyle Berman. (The title comes from Howard Lederer and Ted Forrest)

They formed this group because they had to pool their money together to play against Andy. He's a billionaire and the tournament had huge blinds. He plays a series of heads-up matches against different opponents over the period of 3 years.

There's a follow-up about the second match-up years afterwards. In this he plays over a series of days against Phil Ivey.

It went back and forth a lot heads up. Was really pulling for Lamb 3 handed, after that was hoping the old guy would take it, bbut Heinz got the hands heads up and that's all it takes when someone is short stacked sometimes.

It was a little anti-climatic cause the second place guy still walked away with like 6 million. OH DARN.

Yeh i used to play alot of tournaments at local bars, was a fun time. Was never too serious about it all though

Were any of the players pros? I get so upset when I watch these guys folding like KTo 3handed or shoving like JTs. I didn't watch this year, but dear lord you see some atrocious lay downs and re-shoves at the main event.

Heinz and Lamb are actually really good. They were making some pretty fantastic moves.

Unfortunately Lamb got knocked out real quick once it went 3handed, but Lamb is considered an extremely respectable player.

Lamb was the best player of the final 3. He got cold decked aipf against pocket pairs twice to go out.

The heads up was worth watching just because it went back and forth so much. The only thing I don't understand is why both of these guys took so long to make every decision. They played way too slow for it to be rewatchable.

Didn't read the book, but heard about how they were getting rolled and pretty much brought in Ivey to win their money back. Needless to say, he did.

I was watching it on tuesday but my bedtime called before it was over. I only saw the final 2. It was a bad ass battle back and fourth!
