Recently updated to windows 7 and that as we all know comes with new video drivers/software. I have "AMD VISION Engine Control Center" and was wondering if anyone else has that running? What are your settings cause mine seems to look good but run like crap! I would like to know your settings!
ATI Radeon HD 3300 Graphics
3D App Settings:
SMOOTHVISION HD: Anti-Aliasing
Use App Settings? Temporal Anti-Aliasing?
Level / 2x
Filter Box/Narrow Tent/Wide Tent?
SMOOTHVISION HD: Anisotropic Filtering
Use App Settings?
Per-pixel Samples / 2x
Catalyst A. I.
Disable?
Standard/Advanced?
Minimap Detail Level
High Performence/Low Perf./Low Qual./High Quality
Wait for Vertical Refresh
Perf. Always off/App Settings/Always on Quality
Adaptive Anti-Aliasing
Enable?
Performance/Quality?
I've been playing this game since 2003 and this is the crappiest its ever run for me. I know my computer should have no problem running it flawlessly. Just asking anyone with similar graphics setup to help me out.

I use to have nvidia and i think i'm gonna switch back. Financially this is what I have to work with at the current time. Didn't have problems with this stuff on Windows XP. Everything else I do on this computer is awesome now for example, watching youtube videos is very fast and nice. With XP laggy ass web browsing and most other sites ran like garbage as well but with 7 everything is great but DoD.

just jew the settings. disable all the antialiasing, and filtering down to bare min, and roll the drivers back to an earlier version till you find one that performs decent(guru3d is a good place for old drivers). i like to find drivers released about 6 months after my vid card was installed, and use those.

Try uninstall your drivers and download the display driver
http://sites.amd.com/us/game/downloads/ ... -64.aspx#2 if you got 64 bit, or
http://sites.amd.com/us/game/downloads/ ... -32.aspx#2 if you got 32 bit. I assume you have a desktop, not a laptop?

Well I tried a few different drivers from guru3d and got some that work good. I am still disappointed that I only have one color option. In windows XP I had "desktop color" and "3d color" options. Now its all one thing with all of the drivers I have tried. It seems to be running very good and smooth.

Buy a cheap gpu, instead for play on a intern gpu because its sucks for gaming ( I know 1.3 is a old game, but u will get better fps and less fps drops)

a cheap gpu.......
it can be 3000 , 4000 or maybe 5000 AMD series or 6000,7000,8000,(9000?),200,300, NVIDIA series
and not a 6950/570... If u think I looked at 6000 and 400/500 series..

From what i can tell by his post he's talking about a external GPU. And no, interal GPU's dosen't suck for gaming, in fact the new Sandy Bridge CPU's can compete with low end GPU cards. Not relevant though.

Rockin the AMD HD 3300 Radeon onboard graphics! (not sure if the number is right) with the badass (when I got it a million years ago) 790gx chipset! I had a little spending limit when I bought it and was sold by the onboard HDMI output. Kicks ass for streaming UFC/Boxing/NFL Redzone and whatever extras cable companies make you pay for.

I'd love a new computer all together but I made about 5g's less this year than last and when you make under 30k...5g's is alot!
Really appreciate all the input as well! Thanks Again~

huh, ever since i had to replace my 6800gt, ive had nothing but frame issues in any of the HL1 engine games.
no matter what i do i cant seem to get dod or cs to play without fps drops ever few seconds.
