Yeah, season is over blah blah blah blah blah blah.
Recruiting, coaching changes, and an impending boring fucking title game. I hope Alabama gets run over like a child in front of a bus.

I cannot believe that Craig James is running for State government...
Games that I'm interested in...
For football:
Georgia Vs Michigan State
Wisconson Vs Oregon
Stanford vs Oklahoma State
Nebraska Vs South Carolina
For story:
Ohio State vs Florida
Florida State Vs Notre Dame
And of course Michigan Vs Virginia Tech. Back into the BCS and Hoke has us signing NFL talent again. Big game next year in prime time with Alabama at Jerry World.

K-State v Arkansas in the Cotton Bowl will be good.
I loathe K-State, but Bill Snyder is, without a doubt, the best football coach in the last 60 years of college football. I'll even go on a limb that he's the best that has ever coached the game.

It's pretty bad that I've heard almost nothing about Bill Snyder, and I was surprised to see how good his teams were for long periods of time last decade.
I guess that's what happens when you're in the other Manhattan.

Bill Snyder gets every ounce of talent out of nothing. If he coached at LSU or Alabama he'd probably have 6 or 7 national titles.

Disagree. He has survived thanks in large part to easy scheduling and a plethora of talented JUCOs in Kansas.
Don't get me wrong, he is a great coach. But he would not fit at Bama or LSU, even with their academic standards compared to other top ten BCS schools.

No offense, but if a coach can succeed in a place like Kansas on a regular basis....then it's highly likely that he could do so at a place with significantly more funding, better facilities, a more desireable area, more prestige, media exposure, and a school that can promise you a track to the NFL.
Look at what Saban did at a (second rate~) place like Michigan State or Urban Meyer at Utah. They win with a lower tier of talent. Give them the keys at LSU, Alabama, and Florida----National Championships.
Speaking of this, I want to see Petterson leave Boise State and go ANY WHERE with a history. He would probably be great at Penn State if it wasn't for the whole scandle.

Yes, that's why John Mackovic did so well at Texas, Gerry DiNardo crushed it at LSU, every Boise State head coach that ever left did is still head coach at their... Oh wait.
Quite simply, every head coach is not perfectly suited to move to a different atmosphere and be as successful. Some are, but the head coaching ranks are littered with those who are not. It is also why hiring a new head coach is a crap shoot unless they are making a lateral move after success in a similar situation (Urban Meyer UF to OSU, Nick Saban LSU to Alabama via Miami, etc.).

True. I'll agree that some people are more suited for certain places, and wouldn't nessasarily do better with more resources, but it's still more likely. However, I agree that the big time is a totally different world. I see what you're saying.
Rich Rod ran Michigan into the ground and broke just about every negative record after doing very well at a school like West Virginia. It took one year for Hoke, Mattison (119 in defense to 7), and Borges to take his horrible recruits and get them playing well. Now, the real talent will be rolling in via top recruiting classes.

His non-cons often had some pretty big cupcakes, but when he was in the Big 8 and Big 12 he was routinely beating schools like Texas, A&M, Nebraska, and Mizzou.
He was taking cast-offs and scrubs and making them top 5 football teams. He took the worst D1 football program and made it into a contender. Like, KU is historically a .500 team. K-State ranks at #9 in lowest winning percentages of all-time, and that has been significantly made better by Bill Snyder. Like pre-Snyder it was #1 or #2 and at like 37%.
Aask USC if it wants to come out and play Bill Snyder again. BYU, Tennessee, etc. He has some bowl wins that are fantastic. The only real shame was the year they got screwed over for a BCS game with the A&M Big 12 championship loss.
K-State's non-conference is about as compelling as what half the teams in the SEC do, but they get a pass. He was coaching in the Big 12 when Mizzou, Colorado, Nebraska, A&M, OU, OSU, Texas, and Mizzou could go out and smack you in the mouth.

Honestly this is one of the more annoying things right now in college football.

At least Saban and Miles will go out and play someone. Very few of those other teams are interested in doing that. OU has routinely scheduled good match ups, same for Texas and Mizzou. Okie State should have probably done a little better, but I don't think it would have ever overcome that misbegotten belief the SEC IS NUMERO UNO.
If you just look at some of the voters in all the polls, then you realize how fucking stupid it is.

Michigan vs Va. Tech was pretty sloppy. I don't think they could have given the game away any "harder". We pretty much got outplayed 90% of the time.
I still don't understand the fake punt. If you're going to go for it conventionally, fine. It was forth and 1, and I actually thought they should have went for it. But...having your un-athletic kicker try to get it from like 12 yards away at midfield is pretty stupid.
The play where their running back ran back 22 yards....the fumble on the kickoff...the interception he passed right to a lineman...it just goes on and on for the Hokies.
Robinson still has no clue how to play quarterback. He throws late, off his back foot, over the middle many times each game. Any time there's pressure he doesn't know how to go through his progressions. So, he's basically an athlete who can run, playing quarterback.
Our defence could not stop 3rd and long. We gave up like 5 or 6 first downs on 3rd/4th and 8+. Awful.
However, I would have never expected to be 11-2 so soon and winning the Sugar Bowl. When those top 5 recruiting classes start rolling in again(and replacing rich rod's garbage with potential NFL talent), Hoke and these two great coordinators will do fantastic.
And lol at the Allstate CEO being a UM graduate and saying Go Blue on the stage. It gave the conspiracy nuts from Boise, K-state, MSU, and the like a heart attack.
Hail hail to Michigan the leaders and the best~
