Just got my beta key but haven't downloaded it yet. Anyone else in the beta?

I had the very original when i was a kid. The new version judging from youtube videos looks a lot like halo is what i meant to say. Doesn't mean i wont try it out. Whenever it is i get my beta key.

I remember playing the original a long time ago. How does one acquire said key?

oh? maybe ill actually try it then. i havent even started it up yet after installing xD

only downside is you need a lot of xp points to upgrade weapons/unlock classes. i spent 30 bucks for a VIP package which included a "booster kit" which doubled my xp gain per game.. So I was able to unlock a lot of stuff. I played the first tribes 24/7 when I was younger so I'm a Tribes junkie, justifying the purchase

emodane .. i play at random times at night when I'm not at work.. pretty fun but i'm def not throwing down $$ on a beta just to unlock classes/weapons (which rape the fuck outta the game... system is so tiered that unless ur lvl'd up with upgrades, glhf) but ill still play

the fucked up part is after unlocking everything, I still use soldier the most.

The more I play this game the more I like it. I unlocked the technician class and have been playing that pretty heavily and it's a lot of fun since I'm not a huge fan of constant jet packing and aiming explosives. Much rather repair stuff and fight in hallways.

You guys should definitely play some more try some other ways to play it. My name is AlopeLago so add me up.

technicians are really annoying in tribes now. =( you guys get the thumper and multiple turrets =(

thumper costs 10,000 exp I think. the smg does 80 dmg a hit and is pretty nice in close quarters. I also want to unlock the raider.

The raider is pretty hard to use. You can try it out on the training maps.

it is open beta now and they just added "arena." 5v5 whichever team runs out of respawns first loses.

I don't want to eugoogleize this, please link.
