Huge natural disaster hits the country. Your city was hit bad. No power, law enforcement is unreachable, and people are starting to riot. What do you do? I'd be scared shitless. I have nothing in my house to protect myself and I have limited food supplies. I live close to a grocery store so I'd probably run down and try to get as much non perishable food and water as possible. You can add possible things that could go wrong.

I lift weights so I wouldn't be worried.

You wouldn't be worried at all? If you could somehow stock up on a significant amount of water you'd have a lot of bargaining power. At least in a post apocalyptic setting.

I'd probably have died during said natural disaster, assuming it was some sort of disaster that's going to create stupidly large surf.

In reality though, I have enough guns and dogs that i would feel safe.

Actually believe it or not it is, I'm in Aviation Supply attached to a squadron, I have GCU (Guidance Control Unit's) I take care of, without those bombs dont drop on target. shit planes don't fly if i dont make sure squadrons get the repairables

Yes. The few countries in the world with carriers have 1...and sometimes 2. We have 11 SUPER carriers. It usually doesn't make sense to have 3 projecting power in the same area, considering pretty much every country that has a decent navy is our ally. But these are extra ordinary times...

You'd actually have no bargaining power. Any time I hear people talking about how they have a stack of gold, seeds, and water to prepare for things to go wrong, I just laugh.

Look at Africa if you need an example. Gangs of armed people have the bargaining power to simply take the aid from the locals.

When the chips are down, these civilized people....will eat each other.

There was one I saw on Netflix called "The Colony". It was based in LA after some disaster. Watched the first season out of curiosity, but it felt more like Junkyard Wars than any survival situation that I would imagine happening.
