any of the 475th?? i think they got a pretty decent hit reg for pub servers, but the USA server isnt that often full the european is at least in the evening hours in europe so more or less for some early birds which doesnt care about high ping.

I was pubbing there a couple days ago when i got banned for "1337 minutes" for camping suze with a kar. Also, they sincerely believe that most of the competitive community has to run scripts in order to play in leagues and/or down right cheats.

First and only time I've gone in there they changed my name to Nade_catcher...bunch of tools.

I'm honestly sorry you feel this way. I've been constantly posting on the forums about this kind of stuff and how its earning WaR a bad reputation. Talking it over with the server owner/admin and reading them, word for word, posts like these. Its an attempt to try to get a lot of the bad seeds to chill. Sometimes it makes me want to just part ways, but there are some really good people there. I still get complained about and demos turned into the admin of me; its quite frustrating. While I believe there are a handful of "bad eggs", they certainly bring down the good part of the group.

You know, I really wish I didn't have to, but if I didn't take care of the situation, they were going to kick you. I was talking to them in vent about how its just a natural reaction and how it used to be a benefit. Some still don't believe the update fixed it even though the thread from steam was posted on the forums. So I was in vent telling them how you were just doing it time to time and was really trying not to. Narc was the same way last night. As for your name, the server plugin must not have liked one of the characters you were using; the server changed it, not us : P

There was another time when Rob was playing on Carta_v3 and I was also in spectate. Had to adamantly assure the other admin he was legit and not skipping that reload animation.

Honestly that's probably what most people get a short ban for, the whole quick switching thing. I even catch myself still doing it from time to time. I had to kick KarlTheShortBusDriver because he was simply being, no pun intended, defiant. Which led to him being disrespectful, and that ultimately led to him being kicked. Since I've become an admin, I have yet to even hand out a 5 min ban.

All in all, I know it can be frustrating to be called a cheater. Like I said before, there are still a select few that complain about me and end up either rage quitting or going in spectate and recording me. I'm just so damn tired of it myself and I know that's how some of you feel when you join up to pub. I have a feeling that I'll end up out of there pretty soon.

I understand man. I actually really try hard not to quick switch when I join that server (or most pubs now, really) because I know they frown upon it and ive been kicked for it before, but it really is such a natural reaction now. As for the name change, it's probably the tilde in the blt tag. I didn't think about a plugin changing it.

I really enjoy the WAR server, truthfully. I think it reg's better for me than most pubs. Just seems like anyone who has a high K:D is automatically a cheater and it seems like those people are the only ones who get fucked with. I see bad kids quick switching, or WAR people themselves doing it and nothing gets said. Annoying after awhile.

While this was the first time i've been kicked/banned from their pub for "cheating," I have also been kicked before for quick switching while trying my absolute best not too. It seems some of those guys have more fun sitting in spec and policing their server than actually playing the game. Every time I play there, there are 4-5 guys in spec watching me waiting for me to slip-up once, and I'm kicked the instant that happens.

Sorry, I have zero pull on bans. I do agree they are a little uptight about the quick switching. For clarification, you are allowed to have hud_fastswitch enabled, you just cannot skip the bolt actions reload animation. But yeah, you can bind weapon changes to your mousewheel or whatever you want.

You've played there quite often Beast. The times we've been in there at the same time you never got kicked/banned. I think sometimes it honestly depends on what mood certain people are in; I dunno. They have "mespec" and don't need to be in spectate to watch you either, so they are actually afk.

Except for the ones who talk to people while in spec. I think that one woman, honey something, is always sitting in spec watching people.

I was in there too. It may be in the members section though; they have a private section for players who they don't want to know that they're watching them. I think you have to have an active account to see what I posted. I posted it in the General section should they remove some of my forum privileges. So far they've edited my account name and that's it. Perhaps some of the actual good admins want to discuss the matter, but I don't know, don't care.
