I got kinda lazy and stopped watching new anime for a bit, anything worth watching thats come out in the past 6months/year?

Alright, I don't particularly like nugz - but I laughed.

dont really care what people think of the medium. its a perfectly legitimate way to watch quality stories with well designed plots and nice art work.

as well as various series and other movies are all very good films and shows on par with anything you would watch on tv or in the theater here in the states.

edit: i wasnt gonna add akira and ghost in the shell because i figured they where known to all, but if you havent seen either, those are some amazing flicks.

I don't watch a lot but I watched Claymores a bit ago and really enjoyed that series

i dont watch anime that regularly but heard about Death Note through a friend. didnt come out in the last year, but i loved it.

i wasnt a huge fan of DN. dunno, didnt appeal to me at all.

Get Summer Wars. It's made by the same studio that did Girl Who Leapt Through Time.

Canadian Netflix was a little slow to start up, so they ended up getting like a million animes and no movies that nyone wanted to watch. Me and my girlfriend definitely watch one from time to time though, they're just good becaus ethey tell concise, well-structured stories without the need to go on ofor another season just because it's profitable.

KI also knew Princess Mononoke because when I was a skeezy high school stoner it was always way better than the other garbage on the movie networks.

eh, anime on netflix is poopy. its all in english with no options to change language and subtitles.


if you wanna watch hilarious fan service anime based on zombies, check out High School of the Dead. shits funny as hell, but its a decent show. the artists of that show went all out on certain things.

Black Lagoon is also pretty good, lots of violence but its entertaining. neither of these are deep animes with real good stories, but they are entertaining shows that arent to long. both are just 2 seasons, 3 for black lagoon.

I'd look at Full Metal Panic, Requiem for Phantom, Caanan, Angel Beats, Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, and Ergo Proxy

never watched all of ergo proxy, i watched like 4 eps then just stopped. one day ill have to finish the series, seemed good.

Yeah, Ouran is totally a girls show, but your crazy if you don't find that show fucking hilarious.

people say the same thing when i say i watched lucky star and azumanga daioh and thought they where good.

probably my favorite part of anime is the fact that they use humor in every show. from dark horror, to romance, they always use humor at the best times, and sometimes the most fucked up times.

that and the facial expressions. how can you not like that shit? it makes the scene.

When it comes to reactions.. mangas/animes like Beelzebub and One Piece are on a whole nother level. Facial expressions seem unimportant but they really do convey a lot of emotion that is going on in a panel/scene.

My 14 year-old girl and her friends are positively ate-up over this here Naruto

good times when I arrived home after college to ripped fansubbed animes with japanese audio w/ english subtitles... back then I used to watch trigun (hence the stampede!), love hina, bastard, bersek, record of lodoss war... I used to like yuyu hakusho also. didn't watched anything new from like 2003 onwards though except some naruto episodes with my nephew

The anime art style never intrigued me. I'm just a lot more refined than most of you I guess.

anime is not really my cup of tea anymore, but if you haven't seen Berserk i highly recommend it. blood, intensity, demon rape, and cartoon titties. what more could you want?
