Good PC Games

I haven't really had a high end machine since 2005, so I haven't really played or paid attention to PC gaming other than Dota and Dod...
Now that I have a pretty capable machine, I wanna play some cool DX10/DX11 titles that are really pretty, with lots of GFX settings and hopefully fun to play.
Any recommendations other than Mass Effect 3, would be greatly appreciated.

Starcraft II should play nicely for you now. Also GTA IV if you don't have it for PS3/Xbox360.

I've been playing Kingdom of Amalur: Reckoning on 360, but heard it was even better on PC. Game is pretty fucking awesome.

In terms of eye candy/gameplay, I've played and recommend:
Metro 2033: FPS shooter. It's not a brainless shooter like most because ammo is a form of currency in the game. Very dark, ominous atmosphere, great game.
Length: Short
Price: 20$(goes to 5 when on sale)
Deus Ex: HR; Deus Ex: Missing Link: Prequel of former Deus Ex games. You have different options of completing the game; All out combat ,stealthy, or a combination of both. Great plot with tons of twists:
Length: Long
Price: 30$(can be as low as 7.50 when on sale)
Bastion: Now this game isn't your OMGINEEDTHREEHD7970SINCROSSFIRETOPLAY type game, but you can't argue with good gameplay and a good story. Mulitple endings, therefore replay value.
Length: Medium
Price:15$(Has been on sale before for 7.50)

I have more, but I don't really have anything right on top of my head right now. I'll give you some more suggestions later.

not to sound like a snob or ungrateful but I feel like most of these games are just pretty FPS's. PC gaming is so unoriginal and uninspiring these days. I've been looking for a game to download but everytime I find one it just seems to be another FPS..bleh

Try out Arkham Asylum and Arkham City. They're really, really great.

Arkham City is sick on PC. I got a free copy of it with my graphics card, but didn't try it because I have it on Xbox 360 and was spectacle that it would be good on PC. Got bored and installed it and had just as much fun as I did on 360 so I recommend it.
Another game you should try if you are into action games is Warhammer 40k: Space Marine. REALLY fun game to play. I think they just released a DLC for it as well.
