I'm opening a new restaurant in Chattanooga this month and I've made about 70% of a new drink list...and now I'm stuck. So post your favorite drinks or any snazzy ideas you have and I will unabashedly steal them.

also, just put what you want on the list, then have a little disclaimer that says something like "we can make whatever you want as long as we have the ability to, ask for a drink if you dont see it"

or is this some high end restaurant/bar that only does whats on the menu?

In Michigan we have a shot called a Johnny Vegas.

1/3 tequila
1/3 redbull
1/3 pucker(i believe its like strawberry or some red kind)

there is a bar and grill that servers a large variety of drinks, my ex ordered a drink i forget what it is called all her friends started ordering it after tasting hers.
2 oz vodka
2 oz pink lemonade
4 oz Brut Champagne

i don't really order any fancy drinks just whiskey/coke and some nights jagerbombs

No, I came from a high end craft bar but this is a central/south american place. I'll make anything I can, I just need a few catchy things to help connect the place to the idea of originality and creativity. I'm doing pisco sours and shit like that.

Fuck how much money do you have in the bank??? Opening up something like that in my area is like 2 mil +

they got like 23k reciptes for all kind of drinks, one thing i can recomand or which is probably quit unusual is a long island icetea with red bull instead of coke, here it's called Ochsentee (engl. oxtea)

Fortunately, Chattanooga is a small market. I'm just opening as a bar manager though, not an owner. Stereotypical broke college kid here. You would have liked the place I just quit, drink list comprised almost entirely of prohibition era cocktails and bourbon drinks that could put hair on a grizzly bears chest.

If I get a mixed drink at a bar its normally jack and coke or crown and coke. BUT I have tried what some refer to as a woowoo, shit taste just like koolaid.

1 1/2 oz peach schnapps
1 1/2 oz vodka
3 1/2 oz cranberry juice

Apple Pie Shots:


1 qt. Everclear
1 gal. Apple Juice
1 gal. Cider, apple
7 sticks Cinnamon Stick
800 g (4 Cups) Sugar

Mix apple juice, apple cider, sugar, and cinnamon sticks together. Boil until cinnamon sticks lose flavor. Add Everclear. Refrigerate.

This is something you could make for like a shot of the night special cause it needs to be premade. Sell em til its gone! Make it a weekly special shot, say every thursday.

ugh im a bartender on padre island, ill share some of my drinks I guess...

If you wanna be fancy and charge ~9/11$ for a rita, here's the best shit in the world...


1.25 oz patron silver
1oz patron citron (your granma sub)
1oz simple syrup
1oz fresh lime juice
2 fresh strawberries sliced up
~4-6 fresh basil leaves plucked/broken up


mix all in your shaker and vigorously mix the fuck outta all of it.. It will be the best Patron rita you can find and it's fresh/the strawberries/basil actually compliments themselves very nicely, I sell the fuck outta this one.


Soco/Amaretto punch (call it what you want)

1.25 oz soco
1.25 oz arm
3 juices (oj/pineapple/cran)
splash of gren, mix up, deliciously sweet and gets you fucked
(i make this one with the 2.5oz liqour in a 14oz big mug... so figure out the juice mixes with ice in there (ounce or so of each)

starfuckers (shots, charge an arm and a leg for em, f it)

1oz crown
1oz watermelon puckers
top with redbull after you pour the shots and chill em

if you need help on menu or drinks/martinis and shit like that i guess pm... I've been running the busiest restaurant on padre island for a solid 2 yrs now so I've seen it all... fkn shitty night behind the bar tonight but cant complain when customers pay for your shots all night

I've got the tequila side pretty complete. I'm infusing some reposado with serrano chiles, so ill blend that with some guava nectar and do a chile guava margarita. I used to do another with damiana and tuaca, but I want to shy away from the standard "tequila+acid component+citrus liquer" type deal- Chattanooga has a lot of places doing craft cocktails, so I have to make sure all my shit is up to snuff. Once I get all these things typed and formatted I'll send you a copy and you can critique. Thanks man.

Also, given that Chattanooga is an aloof and rather self satisfied college town, I need clever names for all these drinks with a smattering of humor thrown in. Names don't have to be related, por ejemplo:

Manta Ray
2oz Bourbon
1oz Sake
.5 oz Simple syrup
dash lemon
fill with ginger ale
float midori
punch cucumber into bottom of glass.


No humor, obviously, but a unique name that ties the drink to the restaurant. DO YOUR WORST.

This. However I find it to be more of a sipping drink. Its toooooo suggary to try and normally drink IMO and I'm a fan of sweet stuff.

*Edit NVM. just saw the shot part. I sell shots of this at parties sometimes and it goes very well... we have a bar here that does the same thing on monday nights. Totally worth it.

1 oz. peppermint schnapps liqueur

Smore:

1 shot Marshmallow vodka
1 shot Rum Chata
1 shot Choc Milk

Ok iv expierimented, and right now im talkin to you pretty waisted but still able to give imput since im irish.

Do redbull, the put ice in it with lemon, then put in one measure of gordans gin, folllowed by 1 shot of jager, follow by one one shot of key lime smirnoff, and then put in some jack danials or evan williams cherry reserve or honey. There also a substitute of regular for those that dont like honey, or cherry but all 3 work well and a 3rd glass full of one of those drinks will fuck up anyone world before they can finish the drink. Your job as a bartender is to make money, yet those costomers that come in that are looking for that one punch of a drink will do nicely as for what I said. Its below 150 prood which I believe is the legal drinking limit for proof before it becomes illigal for anytrhing hooch related or sunshine.

Why would you puke of Absinthe? And Jaeger is like the best tasting shot I've ever had. Almost. Except the ones thats flavoured.

You need to give some DOD throwbacks with your drink names.

If you do decide to have some sort of "spicy" drink, or fireball drink, or maybe even a dirty martini ( yuck ) call it the spf3000.

Take your most potent, sloppy drink and call it the 3h, because you're going to do something extremely humiliating by the end of the night.

And linus, given that absinthe is generally over-proof (except Brazilian varieties, which float around 54% ABV vs the French 68-70%), and deceptively sweet and inviting + the fact that most people only decide to try absinthe after drinking a few drinks beforehand = sloppy drunk. We serve it in the traditional manner with a crystal drip setup and stupid fucking silver spoons and the whole shebang. Takes me like 10 minutes to set up, costs $6-$10. Not worth it.
