You can't go wrong with Clarks or Sperrys for casual footwear. Allen Edmonds for dress shoes.

sometimes im glad i think in a more practical approach to buying things. i could never justify 125 for that kind of shoe to myself.

I'm all about comfort over style. Not saying those aren't comfortable, just sayin'! I like shoes I can wear without socks in the summer.

not bad alex. a little too hippyish for my taste, but i like the general direction you're going in. trying to get away from the whole skate shoe thing... im 26 and trying to find something a little more mature and classy.

these clarks are not as comfortable at first, but from what i've been told by lots of people, once you wear them in, the leather becomes a lot more soft and extremely comfortable. but until then, they are a bit stiff.

btw, if you are all about comfort over style, why do you love chucks so much?? i dont feel like those are very comfortable. although its been years since i've owned a pair. i used to wear them all the time in middle school lol

Chuck's are gr8. But I meant shoes that are comfortable to wear without socks. A lot of shoes will rub on the skin and create a callous or a cut. The ones I have are like mo'fuckin' slippers. I would sport the ones you posted for sure with socks + pants; I'm just more concerned about comfortable summer shoes :D

I live in a hippy town and I have no obligations until school. So, don't care how much of a bum I may look like (I also have a ~10 week old beard right now).

Ya, they're pretty nice. But if you don't run a lot, not really worth it imo. And if you don't walk barefoot or run barefoot much, and you buy these, wear them around for a week or so before you start running, otherwise you'll get knee problems from the sudden change.

Also, my primary footwear during the week:

And: good night, sweet calves.

Someone's mad they don't have the proper genetics allowing them to grow a full, luscious beard.

I love flipflops, and found a pair i was able to wear every day for almost 3 years before my dog chewed em up (besides when there was snow on the ground.) Also, the most comfortable pair of flipflops i've ever worn. Won't wear anything but these. Look at the Brand Reef.

what does that mean?

Also I only got rainbows because I'd go through so many pairs of cheaper brands. My favs are actually $20 quicksilvers, but I break them too much. I'd find an awesome pair, where them for over a year..break um..then have to either go on a hunt to find the same model or figure out which of the new models replaced it/is most similar. HATED THAT PROCESS

Means i was suggesting a brand that i wasn't able to demolish in a year, let alone 3.
And agreed. I still havn't found them anywhere but online. :D

And winto, fuck yes. :D

Just picked these up off eBay for ~$50... little scuff on the toe but for the price I'm not complaining.

Consider the venerable "Chukka" . It also has a storied pedigree of the British in Deserts.
