Was just messing around on the interwebs, and came across the gotfrag thread about the first SoCal DoD Lan.

After a long hard fought day at Gamers-X [e]xceptional beat Legacy in the finals on dod_anzio. Only four teams managed to show up with excuses flying from lan dodgers everywhere. After a round robin to determin seedings, double elimination play was as follows:

Round 1: dod_railroad2_b2
[e]xceptional > noL
deadboLT > Destined to Lose

Round 2: dod_harrington
exceptional > deadboLT
noL > Destined to Lose

Lower Bracket Finals: dod_anzio
deadboLT > noL

Finals : dod_anzio
[e]xceptional > deadboLT

Rosters were:

Scorch, Chaos, Max, Holeman, Bleargh, Scrd?

That was actually Socal LAN #2. There were so many really good players at that tourney on just 4 teams.

The first socal LAN was at some place out along the 90 or 91 (Artesia Blvd, whichever that is) I think the city started with an A. There was 4 teams there as well, but the teams were some all-star pug (max holeman scrd dr tofu jdub) my pug (scorch bleargh defrag uncletom atdi duckdodgers) fyrezone (baba mow +4 can't remember) and another team/pug I can't remember at all.

That's right... This one was I think gamers-x in diamondbar.

I totally remember playing against dorito and fusion on donner and being like... "who the hell are these kids". they moved like invite players and were hitting corner shots that i hadn't seen most rifles hit. superfly was really good also, but i guess he nubbed out and never put the time in to be the best.

You have the best memory about all this shit.

I still chill with uncletom all the time. He thinks it's funny I still play dod. He refuses to play because he thinks he won't be any good. I built him a new gaming computer about a year ago and he hardly uses it.

I don't remember there roster, but they were good till there lan center died. I tried to hop on this team a few times is why i remember this randomness.

Yeah, I live down the street from the mall. I'll be here for a few more months. I've been living with my mom to pay off law school / car loans while working in agoura. Whereabouts are you?

Nice man, what Law school did you goto? I actually work for a law firm in Ventura, legal assistant/paralegal. I was planning on going to law school this fall, but found out were having a baby so that kinda put the kibosh on that for a year.

My wife and I actually just bought a house in the neighbor hood at the north part of the Ave., just off Seneca.
