1911 Beta

Celts and I are looking to pick-up 1.3. Though we know the community is just as small as the DODS community, we at least feel that a new crowd is grounds enough to try something new.

Neither of us have any DOD 1.3 history what so ever as far as competitive goes. So, it's a shot in the dark whether or not we will be any good or just be awful.

So, hopefully someone is looking to pick-up some bads. I don't know if anyone 12mans anymore to get some idea how the flow of 1.3 is and get a sense of typical strats people like to do. But if there is maybe someone can point us in the right direction that would be great.

Obviously there's a clear debate on 1.3 and DODS in terms of skills mentally and in-game so I won't even bother posting our DODS history.

Also, any helpful tips or ways to get better acquainted with the community would be much appreciated. ie vent, irc, whatever

Stop by the Winnfield vent to get in on 12mans - there are usually 5-6 going on throughout the day.

Try to get in touch with Black Hawk or Stamp. They're experience and helpful and will welcome you to their respective teams. That's probably the best way to get a feel for 1.3 dod and its community.

Honestly people you should really try to keep your team together. Just recruit some more players. TPG needs more stability out of its teams. I don't know what your circumstances are but, unless you guys just all hate each other, you should work on keeping Lightning going. Just my two cents.
