I have only missed 1 UFC in like 3-4 years now. This is one i might have wished i skipped. The prelim fights on facebook/FX were fucking awesome. Probably the best prelims in a long long time, but the main card, thats supposed to be your bread and butter important fights, and honestly, besides the matt riddle fight, it was atrocious.

I will give ebersole a pass because he was in the process of cutting to 155, just fought 3 weeks ago, and took it on short notice, so i overlooked that. But then when the fucking Kongo fight was bad, i was disappointed. I like kongo, he has brutal standup and GnP, but the ref just let them lean on the cage the entire fight.

Lombard's hype train got de-fucking-railed. 25 in a row, bellator champ, coming to the UFC to be the guy to fight anderson silva. Just lost to tim fucking boetsch. He seriously just stood there the entire time. Where the fuck was the Lombard from his previous fights.

Faber's done, his reign of free title fights is over. I love the guy, him/WEC are part of the reason i got back into MMA hardcore, but that was atrocious.

Everyone was trying to point fight tonight, scared to engaged, fucking stupid.

That's been the growing trend for the PPVs honestly, and the time I point to is right around when GSP started his title reign. Nobody wants to get knocked out/submitted in a title fight outside of heavyweight except for a VERY select few big names. The rest just seem to be trying more and more to prance around and let the judges ruin decisions, like they've shown time after time that they are EXCEPTIONAL at doing. It really sucks because I'm somewhere in between a hardcore and a casual MMA fan. I don't know every fighter on the undercards, so I'm generally not interested in those. Then they become the better fights, but it sucks because you know most of those guys will never hold titles. If they do, then they may change what made them such fun fighters to watch, etc.

I think they need to think about implementing some old pride rules such as round time and ground rules.

Also modify the strict 10-point scoring system. I think pride would give 9-9 rounds (or something like that) if the fighters were being really bad

I agree aswell, the main card really isn't anything to be worked up about. time to find a stream and watch it for free.
