The action from the kar to pistol switch is distracting and sometimes gets in the way when in a gun fight. I would rather just have the gun switch smoothly rather than have it fly up.

I don't recall there ever being a problem with them in the past.

I don't really see why they would be I just don't want to have them and find out that its illegal and have someone bitch at me for using a damn model change. I mean fuck realistically you don't even need weapon models because they don't really affect how the game is played. I just find it distracting to watch the kar-pistol switch when quick switching after a shot.

They were illegal in CAL because they're anal about stupid shit like that. TPG I believe has no problem with them.
I'll message Narc, get his input.

They were illegal in CAL? I remember plenty of discussions about people using them in CAL, but that could also be because there's not really any way to tell.

Ugh, I just tried those models and I thought the pistol switch animation(or lack thereof) was awful.. and my pistol crosshair seemed to be delayed when quick switching after a kar shot.
Seriously, what is wrong with default? Are they that big of a problem? I don't see a problem with people using them in TPG though if you really needed them.

There's no way to detect them without a client running, so the distinction between them being legal or illegal isn't worth fussing over, considering how innocent they are compared to the usual dod community game modifications like removing sprites and walls.

ceebz is cool cause he has colored models.
I remember back in the day I discovered a way to edit model textures, I colored the player models orange and tested out what they looked like on RR1. They don't really stand out that much, even in the dark apartment corners, they didn't stand out too significantly.

I'm sure they're legal until Narc makes an arbitrary ruling against them because he lost.
