haha, i just saw it on fb as i was skimming the shit, saw drs name and kept going, went back when it clicked in my head and was like "thefuck?" clicked just to see what the game played like and saw you guys. couldnt help but laugh.

Hey, I made a post back when I started working for IGN and didnt want to spam you guys every time I'm casting or releasing a video.

Yea but not many people here follow the esports scene outside of dod like a lot used too. Im probably one of the biggest nerds in this regard since i watch sc2 and LoL constantly and any cs that comes up.
Im down to try the game out if you send me a key. It looked kinda fun from the stream. Seems a kind of silly format to host a tourney in though. No ctf or tdm?

The mode is actually a ton of fun. Defense is almost entirely teamwork/communication with a small element of aim required and offense is total hero-mode, running the gauntlet 1v3. The movement takes some getting-used-to, but there's a racing game mode included (timeattack i think is its name) like the defrag mod for q3. We spent a few hours racing each other (way too addicting) and now moving around feels a lot smoother.

ive always been better at quake and UT and tribes, than games like dod and so on. i think i might give this game a shot, who knows may enjoy it.
the movement reminds me of what quake 2 was like, especially aq2.

Not going to lie, this looks really fun.

They try really hard, scrimming several hours a day, but they will likely get stomped by 3C or ESP. Our defense is really bad still, we didn't really have time to come up with names for all the spots on the maps and it's pretty important to know *exactly* where you can get railed from. I think both of our teams are significantly worse than this ESP team and the 3C team that played in the first match.

dan, I hope you consumed a protein shake within the golden hour window after that match. Carrying btootz and porny beats any back/shoulder routine you could ever do in a gym.

we're all bad. it was pretty clear our defense was not up to par. i think the most frustrating part of the game is how easy it is to miss wide open rails. the best part though, is that you can whiff rails for 45 seconds and then hit 1 or 2 good ones in a 3 second window and win the round.

it's a fun game... but having just started blows because i join a server and get shitstomped within minutes and the map is over. I do have a gnarley 37,000-ish ranking though. COME GET SOME.

tried it last night, movement is kind of awkward. i'm sure it gets better with practice but i kept losing all my momentum rather easily. i think the jump/"sprint" on the same key thing isn't implemented as well as it is in tribes, it feels really natural there.

Play TimeAttack for a couple hours and it'll all make sense.
