1911 Beta

I was wondering if someone (preferably one of you fancy movie makers) could go collect some high quality screenshots of all the different maps for us to use on the site.

Right now, I've been stuck using the same image of Harrington over and over again, both for the slides for each article, and for just about every other thing we post on the site that I don't have a good correlating image to work with. I would make more myself, but I still don't have a PC/DoD.

So basically, what I'm looking for is a collection of high quality images of each of the maps in the rotation to use on news posts and articles throughout the site. 720p resolution is fine, and whatever fancy things you can do to the textures to make DoD look way better than it actually does.

As an example, this is the image I've been using for damn near everything:



So what we need is more of those, but for all the maps in our rotation. As much variety as you can come up with, pretty much anything that you think might look nice on the site for various articles/title slides.

Any takers? - Huge +reps and sexual favors as payment.

I was just fiddling around with effects in Sony Vegas and taking still shots since I don't know how to use photoshop lol..

Yeah yeah, you guys are on the right track. In particular, if someone could make some more of chemille for this weeks articles, that would be great.

no, no vegas / video programs for me, just cs5. added 3 chemilles and put saturation in them

i dunno man it's a tough call

Hints:
- Turn AA/AF and quality level all the way up on your graphics cards
- Use the Virtual Vengeance texture detail pack for movies
- Run DoD at the highest resolution (allows for better graphical detail though images will be sized down)
- Do some color correction in PhotoShop

gl_texturemode GL_LINEAR_MIPMAP_LINEAR <- this will increase the quality of brushes in the distance quite a bit.
