Ok so this is probably a stretch, but...

im working on some research on management strategy models and was wanting to get some contacts at valve. im currently working through some other channels within EA (LOLZ) and other game developers but really wanted to focus on valve.

did any of you guys have contact with ppl at valve in the past while DoD was going through the beta-CPL days. any help would be great.

I know a couple people who work there through our wow guild, but I'm not sure they'd be the right people for you. I think they're both developers working on dota 2 atm. Well, I know one is for sure, and the other is involved with dota 2 in some capacity, although I think developers can kind of hop around between projects there.

Just email gabe newell and be interesting, you never know you might get a response. The valve management model sounds pretty cool from what I've heard. All sorts of stories about what a great company it is to work for.

Yeah unique model, especially in the gaming industry.
