Upper:
team 99 vs. Donkey PunchN Krew
99 is currently on a 3 game losing streak, losing competitive matches to LcM and THUNDER, before a lopsided defeat to risK this past week. dpK is on the right track with back to back wins after starting 0-2 (including a near win over risK). At this point, they should be competitive with all but the best Upper teams. I will be disappointed if the most blatantly random player since showtime (yes k4b00m I'm talking about you) doesn't pull of at least a 4 kill for a fullcap.
My pick: dpK by 100+
dirty ghetto f**ks vs. slow loris
dgf are a bit of a mystery at this point, after close matches against two of the better Upper teams (loss against LcM and win against THUNDER), they lost by nearly 300 to W&S on anzio. Slow loris is equally hard to gauge at this point as they have just formed and joined Upper, with players such as hildebrand, bluerevolver, shoguN, meekrab, and rdk, as well as a few names that I don't recognize. I'll take the team that is used to playing together at this point.
My pick: dgf by 100+
FLATout vs. GameSpy Rangers
FLATout is coming off a win against WR (I know you are all shocked) and also seems to be looking for two new heavies, which means ceebz has received between 10-15 steam messages from the everlasting free agent Stamp. GSR is 2-2 with losses to risK and dpK, and 2 FF wins against WR (apparently the second time WR used half of THUNDER's starters in order to try to get a win, well played as usual BlackHawk.) GSR still seems to be struggling this season, and as a result, I think FLATout can get by even with roster issues.
My pick: FLATout by 50
team risK vs. THUNDER
risK seems to have gotten back into DoD mode pretty quickly based on their 3-1 record, and their win streak will be in serious danger against a tough THUNDER roster. After moonlighting as WR members earlier this week, THUNDER, led by the brothers Marko, seem destined to win this match after easily dispatching one of their toughest competitors (LcM) last week. It seems I severely underestimated JgN as his teams have managed to triumph each week despite his relationship drama (I'm still curious to know how many pieces his phone is in right now, perhaps as many as his heart?) All jokes aside, I don't see THUNDER losing here.
My pick: THUNDER by 100-150
Lawnchair Mafia vs. Winnfield & Sons
LcM was on the wrong end of a surprising beatdown against THUNDER, yet they still seem to be one of the top 3 teams in Upper. W&S have bolstered an already solid roster with the additions of nomis and seveN, which not only vaults them into the top of the division and makes them a potential division winner, but also brings their number of LANs attended into positive numbers (Probably not even true but you get the point!) W&S roster seems to be more talented, but LcM has the experience as a team. However, I'll go with the overall skill in this one.
My pick: W&S by 50-100
Lower:
TeamLess vs. 1080P
TeamLess is one of the better teams in Lower despite a 2-2 record (FF Loss and playing 5v6 against BtH) led by Swave and ziggy. They also recently added c-ton and seanlity, although I'm not sure if they are starters or just filling out the bench. 1080P is coming off a close loss to fM in which they took the lead during a second half only to lose it back in the final minutes. 1080P's success in that match had a lot to do with their skilled heavy combo (heineken/defiance), but unfortunately this is not a map tailored to heavies.
My pick: TeamLess by 100+
Bad Ass Wankers vs. Hell's Kitchen
Pub clan battle! I think BAW gets it's first win here.
My pick: BAW by 100+
Not Good Gaming vs. Merrill's Marauders
nGG seems to be the best of the pub clans.
My pick: nGG by 100+
Fatal Mistake vs. Most Valuable Playerz
I have been looking forward to this one, battle of the "too bad to play in Upper but too good to play against pub clan" teams (Add a 6-8 team IM division next season kthxbye). Schmiggs and I will be getting our Nether on in the tower and window each half, and seeing as how evenly matched our teams appear to be, this seems like it will come down to who can hold middle the longest. Perhaps a clutch cap could end up making all the difference...
My pick: GLHF
Mr.Magoo's vs. 505th Parachute Infantry
I really have no clue.
My pick: 505th in a thriller.
Believe the Hype vs. VMF-214 Blacksheep
BtH is just too good for VMF.
My pick: BtH by 150+
