how many people make it to playoffs in invite, four or eight? if eight, what exactly is the point in the league part because there's only eight in the division

only the 1st and the 2nd for the Final.
and the 3rd and the 4th for the other mini Final.
That would make sense

If all the teams get in it at least gives you accurate seeding. Plus you also get to play a bunch of matches. Instead of one or two max in a season.

well gentlemen, we are playing DoD in 2013, winning at this point doesn't make your e-careers any much or less important. so yeah, we all keep playing DoD for the sake o playing and having fun. if you think about it, there is only 1 active DoD league in two continents so the more matches the better.

The seasonmatches determine your seed comming into the playoff. Last season it was hard for some teams to reach a top seed cause they joined the league late and missed 2 rounds of play. So with this playoff it gives the clans who joined the season late or had a ruff start a shot at winning. This is how the World Cup in football and hockey works, if you look at our season as a groupstage. So its nothing new.

well yeah, except if you play shit in the worldcup groupstage then you don't make the playoffs
but yeh, i guess this isn't the world cup and its fair to let teams who joined late to have a fair chance at playoffs. not really that bothered, I was just wondering how it works. more dod is indeed more fun

It also helps the admin move teams up and down after teams die/create so the field is fair for the playoffs, for example d7, bubbles, mob, JSS, and NoGo have all played in Main this season, some of which have died and other moved down/up to even out the division so their are no byes. It makes sense and allows you to play bench players during the season for all teams.

I don't know when is the last time I had fun playing this god awful game. FML
