Anyone know how to fix the STG skip from the update?

Ever since I increased to 120 fps I get STG skipping...One might say move it back down to 90..but the benefits for everything else totally outweigh the STG issue....

Anyone have any commands?

I even get this with my pistol...

lowering fps is the only way

raise fps to 180

I put my fps max to like 88.5 or something random because even 90 was skipping after the update. Hasn't skipped on this fps though!

Try 98.5. That seem to work for me.

My skip would progressively get worse the longer I played. Like what has already been said, move your FPS around a bit.

i think beas has the fix. pm him for the command.

I notice this only happens for me on big servers

Set your fps_max as your update rate.. so if your update rate and fps_max are both 100 you shouldn't be skipping.

my fps_max and update rate are both 80, stg and unter skip. no other guns.

My guns just skip if I got below 120fps :/ Sometimes I have to get above 160fps in some servers so I don't skip

I dont have an isssue with any weapons except pistol. Like its clogged up and fires one shot per second. Cant really spam shots, need to single them out slowly. Really irritating.

Kind of sounds like everyone is having the same problem. Valve has redoubled their efforts to kill us.

The worst I get is sometimes the first click doesn't shoot, and it kinda throws me off. Other than that, I have no gun skipping, but I do get annoying lags every couple minutes or so. It's kind of like I'm stuck on something, and I freeze in place for a second or two, does anyone know any fixes for that?

you're not using wireless are you nomis? used to happen to me on a wireless connection

It was like this for me as well, but now its doing it in 13 slot servers...

Try fpx_max 121.5.
I have the same problem and works for me (vsync on, 120hz).

thats the most annoying thing. every few spawns the gun just click when you first use it, it just wont shoot. fucking raging annoying

Nah, I'm not using wireless, and this is only after the update a while ago. It's pretty lame, a few times I've been just about to cap out, but then I freeze literally right before the flag and get shot lol

Yeah I have to shoot a few times as soon as I spawn just to get the game to register my clicks after the update. I find that 88.5 doesn't usually skip for me with auto's.

I use 120 and get some skipping, but not enough that it happens every time I spray. If you are using less than 100 fps even with a 60hz monitor you are missing out. FPS doesn't only affect what you see, it affects how the game feels and it's so much smoother feeling above 100. Mess around with a bunch of different FPS above 100 even if its just a .5 change and you might find an FPS that magically doesn't have skips.

Now you listen here, back in the day we used to play with 30-40 FPS, at the most, uphill both ways. Then we'd have to eat a dinner of cold gravel, and when we were done playing for the night our fathers would slice us in two with a bread knife, but we were happy.

I'm getting BAR skip on the new stupid rabbit suit server which kinda sucks as its a nice server to play on and I want to continue playing there. Tried setting my updaterate value the same as my fps_max value but didn't have much luck.

I went to a couple of Euro servers directly after and I could fire an entire clip from the BAR without a problem but whenever I try it on SRSLY server it starts skipping and burst firing

What FPS value

I think I was fps_max 120 originally but I had 100 updaterate so put them both on 100 and it still skipped, tried 80 for both and it was ok for a single round then started doing it again.

Appreciate any help, I rifle so it's not a huge deal for me as I almost never use heavies (and it seems the problem only happens on the one server so far) but on a pub it's nice to grab a bar once in a while and have some fun..

maybe the server changed your fps. i dunno. i use 88.5 and it works fine for me.
