i lol'd when i saw this.

bought the spec 5 headset. I have a decent pair right now but thats really cheap. I took a look around and the lowest i saw them for anywhere else was $99. $27 was a steal.

It's just an artificially inflated MSRP. It's probably not even worth 10 dollars.

I would believe that just about everything in life has an artificially inflated MSRP. From what I could find out the MSRP they claim is about what other places are selling them for. I have seen other models going for 3-5 thousand. They seem based more for the rap industry. lowest price i've seen it for was $500 for the same watches. So i firgure $40 for something thats lowest selling value is $400 = good investment.
