You don't want to piss off some dude high on a stimulant. They get superhuman strong and will destroy you. What the one patron did to help was plenty enough, and I personally wouldn't try to do anything more than that.

Someone did intervene. Enough to get him away from those poor people while keeping himself from serious harm. All it takes is one wild shot to knock you out and then he's eating your face. Who knows what diseases that guy is carrying. I sure as hell wouldn't want blood everywhere and end up with HIV.

Don't get me wrong, I think it's great you would step in, but it should be to the extent of the other man.

Use an air taser, perhaps? Not sure what the rules are for it in California, but it probably would have helped if some of the Bart employees had one in possession for situations like these.

Now I wouldn't dare to say that I would intervene and take on some lunatic on drugs 1 vs 1 (not saying I wouldn't , but can you really tell if you've never been in similar situations? Being a e-hero about it is easy). But I was amazed at why a bunch of men didn't decide to just go after him together and get him off these people. Imo that would make most sense. And I did expect some people to do just that.
