Does anyone have a download link to the default allied grenade model or know how I can extract it from the dod .gcf??? Somehow I deleted mine...

Just run that scan in game properties to verify all files. The extract program is called gfcscape btw.

That's the allies grenade model, no idea what you need it for but there it is.

wonder if, like me, after the last big update that changed the folder structure/paths for the game within the steam folder if you had the game in 2 different locations at once? after the update i had the game in steamapps/myemail/dod and in the new/current path steamapps/common/halflife/dod. maybe you're looking in the wrong folder or some files got shifted around? i know with me it was messing with my config. i think by right clicking the game in your library and verifying local content (whatever the feature is) should recover any randomly lost files. or, is there some uber 1337 undetectable exploit/hack in the game involving the grenade model that none of us know about that lets a player use the best cheats on the interwebz and you messed it up?! conspiracy theory! i kid around. hope ya figure out your problem lol.

If you have a non-custom grenade model, that means that you have an extra file in your folders. If you don't have a custom file, it will use the file in the .gcf pack. You should be able to fix this by deleting allied_grenade.mdl or whatever in your dod models folder or wherever it is.

I was playing around with hltv models and when I deleted them out of my model folder I suddenly had the default grenade model for half-life. I have been tossing around nades in my hazmat suit for a while and figured I need to get it taken care of. The only game I have loaded since the update was dod and am not sure if it did something different with the actual gcf, but I cannot find it in all of my other accounts that I have in my steam folder. Thanks Dustin, I will download shortly.

So I uploaded the wrong model on accident, uploading the actual allies grenade model, I believe that one is the hltv one ><

For whatever reason, there's no day of defeat gcf for me either. I was looking for it a few months ago and I have every game's gcf except for day of defeat. ;(

Just put all three of those into your models folder and you should be good to go.

that won't be necessary. 3rd party utilities take care of it for him.
